Shangri-La Tokyo stands out for its prime location near Tokyo Station, widely praised by guests for simplifying transit and city exploration. The hotel's atmosphere is lauded for its spacious, well-appointed rooms that exude luxury and comfort. While the hotel's amenities, including the unique 'meet and greet' service, receive positive remarks, dining experiences are often criticized for being overpriced. Service at the Shangri-La is generally regarded as attentive and friendly, though some travelers have encountered service hiccups. Despite these, the hotel's cleanliness consistently impresses visitors.

This is my third time staying at the Shangri-La Tokyo, and I cannot recommend it enough. This time I stayed for 5 nights and it was great as always. From when you step foot into the hotel, the service is beyond exceptional. I would like to give a special shout out to the Horizon Lounge team (led by Suyeon) who were so helpful and made my stay so memorable. Aisha was very helpful with helping me settle my Tokyo restaurant reservations even before I arrived in Tokyo. In fact she had to call the restaurants at least twice as I decided to come up to Tokyo a month earlier. Managed to go to all the restaurants I wanted to go to! Special praise for Yukari, who I’ve met on all my three stays at the Shangri-La Tokyo. Thank you for making our stay so special! Also another shoutout to the rest of the team: Hiyori, Erina, Alireza and Takeshi!

It was the perfect stay after long trip & flight cancellation. The soothing relaxing smell when entering this property was enough for me to destress. This property has been in Tokyo for a long time, but I’m impressed how well maintained it is. Clean and orderly. The staff were very professional, polite & friendly. What I remember most, was the bed- supportive for the bed, comfortable yet luxurious. I’ve stayed in same category hotel like Shangri-La all over the world, this bed is the best. I dined at the Lounge, I loved it. The ambiance was calm & relaxing. Food & drink were good. Staffs were attentive and friendly, no air. This is going to be my go to hotel now when I travel to Tokyo. Definitely, coming back!

I was back and forth in touch on emails with horizon club. I think they should really write/put their titles such as manager or supervisory level. I know english is not their first language, but it would be more appropriate if someone could check before they send, this is a five star hotel we are talking about here. Because sometimes there can be misunderstanding in words. One of the lady staff Alisha horizon club had great english grammar and also writing as well. But sakiki the lady from belldesk moved to horizon club was not nice, she was bragging about how she has been here for 15years, she would greet with non sense english and say the least interesting subjects. I hope everyone can learn hospitality and english from Alisha who had been great to my family. Thankyou.

The Shangri la Tokyo is amazing. We were a family of 3 in an Executive Suite. The suite was very spacious. Our son slept on the sofa bed and had no complaints. Our room was overlooking Tokyo Station, with amazing views of Mount Fuji in the distance, on clear days. I found the first couple of nights noisy but soon adjusted to that and slept fine the rest of the holiday. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were so helpful and kind, especially in the Horizon club. We had afternoon tea most days there and were very kindly given fruit almost every afternoon. Breakfast was also in the Horizon club, perfect start to a busy day. The hotel is in a great position for travelling around Tokyo. You can get to most places from Tokyo Station. The concierge kindly booked our bullet train tickets and even walked us to the platform for our train. We had room service some evenings and were very happy with the quality of food and menu choice. I would totally recommend this hotel.

As a diamond member, they treat you like compare to nothing and because you are chinese doesnot mean you cannot speak fluent english. I was very disappointed by one of the female staff known as elina in the lounge. I was transferred my call to horizon club for my room move but was offered different room instead of the one i am staying in was suite. She treated me as if i dont understand english at all by speaking slow and repeating again and again, very annoying. She told me to come to 28floor or 37floor for the keys. Instead i went to 28floor, gor better service and no racism. Please educate her. If she cannot speak english properly, tell someone who can because her english was broken as well.

Booked 2 rooms as a Jade Member and only one room was entitled to breakfast. Anyway, Shangri La Tokyo have the worse breakfast buffet selection I ever see in a 5 stars hotel and you can only order one item from the menu. So if you want a Japanese set meal, you will forego the egg Benedict or waffle. If breakfast is important to you, avoid this hotel !

I am a repeater guest who often stays here. Everything is perfect except this lady in horizon lounge, who has a most annoying voice and doesnt speak english fluently but makes an accent and the worst part is she makes ridiculous jokes and laugh herself. I think She tries to help her collegue coming in between of conversations and cutting of the conversation by persuading to go inside instead of staying at the reception which is very annoying and bad manner. I think anothet party of guest were annoyed her as well too, she speaks too much unnesscarily. To avoid confusion, her name starts with E. I have told her once but it seems like she is not a good listener.

The Shangri La is an exceptional hotel in the heart of Marunouchi, Tokyo’s principal business district. It was within easy walking of our clients and easily accessible into Tokyo station to travel to other parts of the city. The hospitality was first class and the staff extremely polite and courteous, which I would always expect in Japan. The double rooms we booked were huge and well maintained. The only oddity being a lack of wall plugs but that is being extremely picky. The swimming pool on level 29 was a delight to use albeit had to be booked in advance which was a bit of an unexpected hassle. The only bad experience we had was on the first night in the Japanese restaurant where we had a taster menu. Unfortunately the food wasn’t great for the price and the service not up to the same level as the rest of the hotel.

This is a 5-star hotel with service to match! Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed and very clean. As we were celebrating our 30th anniversary, the hotel surprised us with a bottle of champagne in our room. The breakfast buffet in the lobby lounge was very good and the service was excellent. Definitely go there for the view! Concierge was very helpful and gave us good recommendations as well as reservations for dinner. We found that all the staff members were very attentive with a high level of customer service. We used the hotel’s "meet and greet" service and this was invaluable. We took the Narita Express train and when we got off at Tokyo Station, the hotel representative was standing right on the platform. She escorted us out of the station and across to the hotel. Without this, we probably would have gotten lost in the massive station. Although this hotel is located in Tokyo’s business district, we liked the fact that it is quiet in the evenings. There are numerous metro and train stations within a short walk, so it is very easy to get to the hot spots (like Shibiya, Shinjuku etc). An excellent stay!

We had four rooms booked at this hotel for a family get away. In terms of location its amazing, everything walking distance, beautiful park nearby, shopping hub just a short walk away. The rooms were good size and amenities fantastic. They lay out japanese kimonos for you and the little ones too. Housekeeping was great and obviously Japanese manners is second to none. unfortunately we found the F&B below par. Every morning we had to send dishes back. Every morning they kept asking non stop which room are you, how many people are you...? there was 6 of us and four rooms, each time confusion. Even the japanese restaurant we dined at in the hotel was not a good experience, staff did not speak english, back and forth to find someone to assist us, Nadaman if i remember correctly. The food was not good at all and all of us are lovers of japanese food. You have to access two sets of different elevators to go up and down. I feel the hotel should cater to foreign visitors in terms of F&B, specially arabs as a lot of people who were with us on Qatar airways were staying at the hotel too. The manager was very polite and always checked in at the tables every morning and guiding us through Tokyo and must visit sites..... umbrellas and bikes also available for use.
