We really enjoyed staying at the Hotel Intergate. A 5 minute drive from the Station (or 15 minute walk). Really like Reception being upon the top floor beside an excellent lounge area that offers a variety of good free refreshments throughout the day after breakfast + great views. Rooms are clean, comfortable & spacious. It's a 15 - 20 minute walk to the A-Dome Site and the Memorial Park / Museums. we had a great stay here & its highly recommended.

I did a lot of research before picking this hotel and after much debate, settled on this gem. If you don’t care to read further, read this: do not hesitate to book here - I had an amazing stay! Location: central- about 15 minutes from anywhere. I walked everywhere as tram times were about as long as walking. I had a pocket WiFi (Japan Wireless) which I highly recommend so you have access to google maps. It makes life so much easier. Check in: on the 14th floor and easy. English is spoken well enough here but I did dig out google translate every once in a while. Room: I had a superior double room and it was fabulous. Pretty large considering typical hotel room sizes- could roll my yoga mat out without issue. Bathroom was great - big tub which I happily washed clothes in. Amenities did not include shower caps or lotion. Though there was no “closet,” there was a hanging bar on the wall. They made very good use of the space available. The bed is very firm...just the way I like it. But if you prefer sleeping ‘on a cloud’, you will not like this bed. The blackout shade is just that...no light, whatsoever gets in. Which is great when the sun starts rising in the 4 o’clock hour. Two room gripes (that would not at all sway my decision on booking this hotel): here is a light that is sensor triggered at the doorway. This isn’t a problem until you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and the room lights up like Times Square. Not ideal. The second is the AC. They have it set to where it comes on for about 5 min (works great) but then shuts off completely. That wasn’t going to do. So I had to call the front desk. They were very responsive and kind. He first set it to English for me and then disabled the timer. No problems thereafter. Breakfast: a nice spread; pretty basic. They also offer snacks and drinks throughout the day free of charge. It’s a very nicely done establishment. WiFi: great! FaceTime - no problem. Streaming - no problem. The hotel is quiet overall. Never had either a noise or smoke-smell problem (a very big concern of mine prior to coming). Overall, for the price - this place was unbelievable. I paid 3x as much for less of a room in Tokyo. I can’t recommend this place strongly enough. I’m pretty picky about my hotel rooms and take great care and time finding “the right one”. And I’m so pleased with the Intergate. *Now that I’m done with my entire trip, I would say that for the price, this was my favorite hotel (I stayed in 6 different hotels).*

A very new hotel in a good location. Large rooms for a Japanese hotel and English language news programs on TV. Coupled with the free breakfast, free coffee and tea all day with snacks, free red & white wine between 5 & 7pm and an evening meal after 9pm, its hard to find better value in a Japanese Hotel.
