We travelled through Osaka for two nights and stayed here. We were upgraded as they recognised my ihg membership level and the club room was comfortable clean and spacious. The bathroom was very good. However, floor 21 was very hot, and the air con is tired and inefficient.

Dear AdrianI692, Thank you for taking time to post a review on TripAdvisor following your recent stay with us at ANA Crowne Plaza Osaka. With 473 rooms in our inventory we offer our guest a wide range of room types ranging from 18 m2 to 40 m2. Guest rooms in Japan due tend to be smaller than in most parts of the world so we clearly state the room size on our sites so guests are able to choose the right room for their visit. Upon arrival our Front Desk team assigns each room based on availability in our system and I am sorry for your inconvenience of getting a city view room rather than a river view. I did attend a business meeting outside of the Hotel during this hour and my secretary did speak to you and put you in touch with our lobby ambassador who did move your room to a river view room. Sakura Season (Cherry Blossom) is one of our highest demand period here in Osaka which is reflected in our pricing strategy. I fully understand your frustration with the extra person charge as this is unlike the rest of the world. We are working on a suitable solution to remedy this, however it is system related when linking with Japanese agents and as such does require some time on our side. Our pool entrance fee is clearly stated on our web site and I do understand that this can be frustrating. Unfortunately our pool is relatively small for 473 rooms so to keep the experience high we need to charge this entry fee. I am disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay with us here in Osaka and hope that you will continue to stay at our IHG properties worldwide. Thank you for your time to post your review
