A small hostel but well maintained and very clean, with lots of privacy for each guest. The only drawback is the location (around 1 km walk from the city center) but the bus stop is very near. There are supermarkets close by.

Being a solo traveler in Japan for a while I have been to many different hostels over the contry and been very pleased with the standard everywhere I went. However this hostel was the first I’ve had a significant problem with. It feels pretty unfriendly, there is no one at the desk most of the day if needed. There was no activity in the “bar” downstairs at any point in the days I was there. You need to pay extra for everything including towels and water - there isn’t even a water fountain or sink available to fill up your own bottle. The location isn’t near to any tourist attractions, good food or even the train station. I payed to stay an extra few nights merely as a base as I didn’t want to move My heavy backpack and paid in cash. I was then accosted at midnight on the last night in my room and told I hadn’t paid enough and forced to pay an extra 4000 yen when I couldn’t exactly leave to go elsewhere (and I’d already paid for the night - so have ended up paying for it twice because their records were wrong). I would advise if you are a traveller I would stay well clear of this place.

Wir hatten ein Dreierzimmer gebucht. Darin: 3 Matratzen, ein Tisch, zwei Stühle, ein Kleiderständer mit 4 Bügeln. Kein Regal, kein dritter Stuhl. Das ist selbst für japanische Verhältnisse sehr spartanisch. Gut war: das nette Team und die Sauberkeit. Schade aber, dass es nur eine Dusche pro Geschlecht gibt! Das führt zu Wartezeiten...

This place is not for travelers. It is for Japanese businessmen to crash at without paying full price for a hotel. Not like your traditional youth hostel with a fun and relaxed vibe. This place is cold... be prepared to stay up all night and not get any sleep because drunk men keep stumbling in after midnight until 6am and then snore the night away. Honestly the worst nights sleep I've gotten in a hostel. Either find a youth hostel with "youth" or go to a real hotel. This place will keep you up all night. The lady who works here is friendly but it's not enough to make up for the drunk businessmen snoring all night. Terrible experience
