Great place if you just need rest. It's an older hotel right next to the Shinyokohama Blue Line Exit. Location is great. Right in front of the Blue Line Train Station. Exit #7. You need to climb up maybe about 25 steps. Plenty of restaurants right outside the hotel which offers great lunch specials because there are a lot of business men. Also right next to two Combinis It's just an older hotel. The wallpapers from the 70-80s, the phone was cracked. The faucet was coming out at the edge of the sink. There's no space to put your hand in to get the water. Bed and soundproof was decent. I didn't hear the neighbors or the cleaners. Was able to sleep well. Internet was NOT usable. It was never usable during the whole week I was here. During day or night. I had to get my own pocket wifi to do work. This is not acceptable in today's world. Gym! Yes this one has a gym on the B1, but they are closed on Thursdays and it costs 1000 yen per use. It's a VERY VERY Tiny gym. There was about 6 cardio machines with maybe 6 weight training type machines. It would've been great if it was part of the hotel, but pathetic if you have to pay 1000 yen per use. Laundry. You have to go downstairs to get keys to use the 1 laundry machine they have. They limit you to 2-3 hours and I let the dryer run 3x and it still didn't dry my clothes. Expect to pay 500 yen per laundry. (200 yen for wash 100x3 for drying) I paid a little more than the cheap business hotels, but felt the cheaper business hotels were better equipped (internet, newer bathrooms, etc). If I have to stay in Shinyokohama again, I'd pay a tad bit more and try Prince Hotel Shinyokohama which looked a lot nicer and it's better accessible to JR Station.

The location is perfect just outside shin Yokohama station (please dont mistaken it with the yokohama station) there are alot of restaurant nearby, local and fastfood. The building itself is old, the room is enough for two people and 1 kid, but the bed is only 1,4m so please consider it. Have a bathtub and the tap water is good to drink. They have separate restaurant, which the food is okay, i think its cheaper rather then have meal outside (breakfast is quite early l, dont be late). the staffs are friendly with limited english. Deefinetly will return to this hotel.

A good compact business hotel in the city centre , just next to Shin Yokohama station & close to hotel prince . Well connected by JR & Shinkansen. Cooperative staff but hardly understand English, they are 90% Japanese & it’s really tough to coordinate if you want something unusual . I had a problem with my TV , and I hardly made the hotel staff informed about same . Room is so small , sometimes we get bathroom in INDIA of that size . Best is the temperature controlled commod . Overall a good Hotel , but little overpriced .

I always read reviews before booking a hotel. Somehow doing homework ahead of time did not help me. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, paying an average of $200 per night. Our stay on 12/31 amounted to over $300 per night for the two of us. I noticed the price has dropped before our stay and contacted Japanican.com. Unfortunately we could not get adjustment and we also could not cancel without paying penalty. The hotel is definitely not a good value for the money we spent. I am shocked to see the price has dropped to $39 per night now. May be we booked at the wrong site. We paid Total Amount: JPY 68,080. This is also the first time that we were charged per person, not per room. Sat 30 Dec 2017 Room 1 JPY 17,360 Adult : JPY 8,680 x 2guests = JPY 17,360 Sun 31 Dec 2017 Room 1 JPY 40,800 Adult : JPY 20,400 x 2guests = JPY 40,800 Mon 01 Jan 2018 Room 1 JPY 9,920 Adult : JPY 4,960 x 2guests = JPY 9,920 The only good thing was the front desk staff was so nice that she changed our semi double room to a twin room and gave us two beds, instead of one bed. Shin Yokohama is so close to Tokyo that there is really no need to stay at Shin Yokohama at all for us. For our trip from Tokyo to Kyoto, and back to Tokyo visiting different cities on the way, this is the worst value for our money.

No complaints with such affordable price. Refurbished rooms with old exterior outlook. Booked the "Grand Deluxe Twin Room" but they gave us a cheaper room "Deluxe Corner Twin Room". Don't bother about paying much for the Grand Deluxe room because they are the same.
