This huge hotel in the heart of Sapporo is equipped to accommodate groups of any size. The rooms are comfortable. The buffet breakfast included some sashimi, which was a wonderful surprise. Wish I'd seen the sign above the empty mini bar directing me to the vending machine down

The hotel was extremely noisy, from any directions strong noises. Outside my window ( 7 Th floor) there were some workers cleaning roads with caterpillars. Windows are not soundproof and actually of very poor quality. They did not offer me new room. Zero sleep.

Head to Otaru for a few hours via the JR line(40-50min ride). Sit on the right side of the train for water views. Stroll the canal, the main tourist area(Kitachi hall is on the same street) and eat insane sushi at Kantaro Sushi. Also check out the Sapporo beer factory/tour/beer garden while in Sapporo. Hope this helps a bit.
