The hotel is quite close to the train station, between 7-10 minutes by foot and easy to find. It is a very new hotel, everything seems that hasn't been used! The room is not big, but enough to open your luggage and do what you need there. Very tidy and confortable and kind staff. The "Japanese bath" is also very clean and with all the amenities you may need, and next to it you also have a sitting room. The breakfast is Japanese style, very good! I would choose it again if I go to Sapporo!

They have small rooms but it's Japan. Unless you are not in a city or are willing to pay a premium, it is the norm. The rates are extremely reasonable and the location is excellent. For people who are driving, I highly recommend contacting the hotel before hand to reserve a parking spot.

For a relatively new hotel, we expected this to be a pretty clean hotel. While the room is new and looked relatively clean in most areas, the cleaners obviously didn't clean the room thoroughly. The bench on top of the basin was full of dust throughout the 4 nights we have stayed there. Not only that, the coffee station in B1 was always infested with fruit flies during our stay. Didn't really give you much confident on making any coffee there and made you wonder what their cleaning standard is really like. The other issue we had was the pillow station. While it was nice that they had a station where you can select different types of pillow, obviously the fluffy feather pillows were gone the quickest. Instead of having a soft pillow in your room, they were both the beaded ones. This might be the norm for Japanese but definitely not for non-Japanese and not good when majority of the guests were non-Japanese guests during the Snow Festivals period! When we realised this, we went to check the pillow station straight away but were too late. We asked the front desk and was told it's a first come first serve service and that they couldn't help further. They told us to check ourselves the next day, maybe after the check out period. I told the staff that it's ridiculous as we were not going to come back to the hotel in the middle of the day to get better pillows as we have already booked for early activity and we were staying there for 4 nights. She eventually agreed to help us to reserve some but no news the next day. Luckily we found some in the station ourselves that night. It was only the third night that we got a message they have secured us some, which we no longer required. They should really consider using softer pillows as default in their guest rooms or have more available in the pillow station so this won't happen again. Can't say there was anything that really stood out for us during our stay and doubt it would be our choice of hotel if we return to Sapporo again.

After that the problem is solved by disinfection of flies. We will strive to further enhance cleaning forever. And thank you very much for your opinion about the pillow. Pillow corner is very popular and used by many customers. We are preparing a lot of numbers but we are sorry for the limited number. From your writing, I get the feeling that you were very disappointed that you can not use your favorite pillow. Really sorry. We will not waste your opinion this time. We stayed at this hotel during the Snow and Ice Festival when hotel prices are at their highest and got a reasonable price through Expedia. If you travel here for this event, do yourself a favour please, please, please and slip into the Lawson's shop at their airport on arrival and buy yourself some crampons for walking on ice on the streets saw so many people fall heavily. Hotel was basic in most things. Bed reasonable, we had read previous reviews and picked out our pillow from pillow menu in reception on arrival so we did not miss out on a decent one. Rooms were warm even though below zero degrees celcius outside. Breakfast was included in our rate and this was in front of the hotel, we ordered the western set which was vaguely recognizable as western and a smaller but adequate offering. This restaurant opened again in the evenings which we ate at once. You order your meal at the kiosk machine in the foyer, pay there and take your ticket into the restaurant to give to staff. Evening meal is quite good and only immediate close food option. There is foodstore directly across the road. Reception was as helpful as possible and English was basic, mostly enough for our needs. If you don't speak Japanese at all, ask for hotel card in Japanese as most taxi drivers do not know any English at all. Reception staff will order a taxi for you too to assist with your restaurant options as well. The hotel maps offered to us did not seem very accurate. Position pretty good, once you have found the nearest subway station on the map which is quite close you are able to enter this and follow the subway lines to walk out of the weather, roughly halfway between Sapporo and Suskino. The laundry facilities are good for the traveler and the common lounge area comfortable with vending machines plus tea and coffee facilities. The main issue we had with this hotel as the rooms were very small. We were lucky we had a twin room which gave us a little extra space but the size is just slightly larger than a cabin hotel. The onsen in the basement of the hotel was lovely, clean and good amenities. This is the saving grace of this hotel. Children were quite disruptive at times though.

First of all, we are sorry that the room was small. Fortunately however, thank you for praising in many other respects. You read the reviews of our hotel in advance, did not you? It seemed like you could choose your favorite pillow this time. Did you sleep well enough? Personally, I think that enough sleep is essential in our life. And how about the staff's correspondence? Because the staff 's basic English was understood to be communicable, was there any problem? Everyone in the staff will do our best to respond to customer's requests in other respects as well. We are relieved that you liked the public bath. Please also use it next time. Various events are held in Sapporo every season. We look forward to serving you again. Thank you.
