Of all the hotels we stayed at in Japan this was my least favorite. It is definitely dated in the rooms. It felt dingy but I could tell they kept it clean. Just needs some new carpet and some paint. They had scaffolding up on the side of the hotel we were on so we had workers going up and down during the day. The window barely opened so made it hard to get much air. Room is super small but had all the necessities. The staff was very nice. It was near a lot of restaurants and in the heart of the city. The station is about a half hour walk from the hotel, so with bags we opted to take a taxi. All in all - average.

I stayed five days at the Tmark City Hotel in Sapporo and did enjoy my stay there. The hotel is a little walk from Susukino station in a not so busy street. The tramway stop Higashi Higanji mae is basically just around the corner. There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by. Staff have been extremely friendly and helpful and unlike in other hotels I have stayed in Japan, the breakfast buffet has been really enjoyable. The only thing I found not as nice was that the window would not open and so my room had a fogged window with condensation dripping from the frame. But this might have been due to the scaffolding on the building and opening of the windows therefore has been disabled. You might be tempted, like I was, taking the airport bus to New Chitose Airport, as it might appear quicker not having to use the underground to get the train station. However, the bus did stop several times en route and traffic was rather slow. My suggestion would be: always take the train between Sapporo Station and the airport.

I love Japan hotels... no frills, economy of space but it does the job. I had another good nights sleep because of the efficiency and quality of these hotels... in the latest case, the Tmark City Hotel in Sapporo. I was so tired from a busy day of tourism only to arrive at a very small twin bed room at this hotel. I was excited to see that you could fully extend open the sliding glass window which allowed cool air to ventilate the room. The mattress was fir, the sheets were clean and I had another peaceful sleep. The bathroom was characteristically small but functional and the water pressure from the shower was perfect. Also, the wifi in the room was perfect and the breakfast was passable and I left fully satisfied. The location of the hotel is ideal to downtown Sapporo. I would stay here again.

The location is good take a few minutes walk to the center of shopping. Restaurant for breakfast quite small but the staff very attentive and clear all tables very fast so don't have to wait that long. I was there when the hotel announced for electric brown out and caused air cond was unable to use. Luckily the weather was not that hot and appreciated to front desk staff their brought a cooling fan for us once I called. Thank you for everything :)

I wouldn't mind staying here again if I go back to Sapporo. It's your typical small sized Japanese hotel complete with toiletries, mini ref, blow dryer, slippers & pyjamas (yes Pj's!). Clean, comfy and less than 2km walk from Susukino station. They were doing some renovations the time we visited and stayed here and maybe some rooms were affected by their air conditioning system. But I'm glad our room was fine. Small but enough to accommodate 2 medium sized luggages. Bed was comfy too and overall, it was clean! I recommend this hotel esp for the price we got it. Not bad. Not bad at all.
