We had a really nice stay, our room was spacious and very clean, the spa was nice (great saunas, super clean, small indoor pools but quite enjoyable (one with bubbles). The staff was nice in both restaurant and reception, informing us about closing times and last orders in advance. They have some super cute rabbits, very nice courtyard and a truly relaxing place and atmosphere. We were not asked to pay for parking, even though it is advertised on their website. As a tip, we booked our trip from their website (it was about 200 ron cheaper than booking). Also, as they ask for a minimum 2 nights stay, we opted for Saturday and Sunday instead of Friday and Saturday nights, as again, this option was consistently cheaper. The reason for which I am only giving 4 stars is that you can literally hear everything from the rooms next door, we stayed in the 3rd building, at the first floor and we heard each and every time a door was opened/closed, as well as the TV from the other room. Also, once you use the shower you can no longer use the sink properly as it's way to wet, but it's still manageable. All in all, I recommend this place, we really had an enjoyable stay!

Pros
Beautiful peaceful quiet rural setting. Very good food. Friendly helpful staff, except see below. Spa: relaxation room with complimentary water, tea, and apples, and salt room. Parquet floor and traditional painted furniture in room.
Cons
Paying for parking and then walking out to the road on icy footpaths and back into the hotel with our luggage. I suggest if the management/owner hasn't tried, that he/she attempt to negotiate with the neighbor who runs the parking lot to build a gate for hotel clients to get to and from the parking lot.

When we entered our room, my wife noticed that there was only one set of towels - for one person. I went to the front desk. The lady told me they would bring it up to the room. After my wife took a shower; and it was my turn, I waited 45 minutes. Finally I went back to the front desk. This time, the front desk lady walked about 4 yards to retrieve the towels and gave them to me (why couldn't she do that the first time??!!) I never got an explanation for this annoying inconvenience. When I complained, the front desk woman (I never got her name) told me that the manager would call me. He/she didn't call. The refrigerator in the room did not work. We don't like doorless shower stalls.
RE: spa
The steam room was too hot; and the water coming out of the hose was SCALDING hot!! My wife actually suffered a burn from trying to use it. The jacuzzi jets in the warm pool did not work. We asked 3 times. We were told that they go on automatically; but we spent 3 - 4 hours in the spa every day, and never saw them turn on. It is hard to imagine a spa without some bubbles! For some reason they turned off the ice machine when we were there; and we had to ask them to turn it on…

Nice location, spacious room, close to Brașov. It was a family stay, and I can say that it is a baby friendly location, with care for breakfast, diversity for the little ones (cream soup for breakfast, noodles with milk). Instead the disappointment was from the poorly trained staff, the food served was always cold, a beef goulash served was with the bag on the plate. I ordered pasta for a 2 year old child and we received pasta with chili. And when we arrived at the accommodation we had to pay for parking 15 RON / day in the conditions in which it was written on the site that it is free. I really don’t recommend this location. Expensive and they don’t offer quality for that.

We are a family of 3. We always take chances on new places. Sometimes we find gems that we cherish and share with our friends other times just decent places. Our experience at Wolkendorf hotel was the worst in two years. For the first time we regretted choosing a place based on the online description and reviews. I went back to understand how did we get to book two nights in a place that was so off from what we thought? It is quite simple, misleading description, pictures and most likely reviews.
The whole establishment looks and feels like a horse stable that has been converted into a “motel” at most.
It is not homey. It is in the middle of nowhere, I didn’t feel peace and quiet just creepy. In the summer might be different but this is how it felt now during the winter. Not romantic, the rooms, though clean, are small and dark, instant claustrophobia for a family of 3. An upgrade was not possible, all rooms are the same. Sleeping separate as suggested by the mr manager, George, not an option either.
You don’t get to spoil your family, if anything you might get them sick. You need to walk 30-100 m outside to reach the spa or the so-called “restaurant” more like an open space cantina, airborne germs have plenty of room to fly.
We realized quickly that we couldn’t stay. The “hotel” it is what it is. Though, it could work as school camp in the summer not a place for family getaway. We kindly asked either to rebook for the summer time when I could convince few other moms to come and spend time just us and the kids or get a refund for at least the second night. An arrogant, know nothing about customer service manager, Mr George told us that there are no refunds. Apparently if you book directly through their website instead of being rewarded you are ripped off. Our mistake.
That being said save yourself from the headache. There are so many nice places in this price range that it is really not worth considering this one.

We stayed just for 1 night on our visit in Brasov.
Definetelely i recommend this hotel, the atmosphere so inside and outside is peacefull and relaxing. very good yard for walking around and just breath fresh air and admire the nearest forest and mountains views, also there are amplaced a lot of spaces for childrens.
there are 2 buildings with rooms, 1 building of spa and another one with restaurant.
We had included a breakfast, very good one, with quality products. I read that the dinner is also available, for an fixed price you can have an open buffet for dinner..but we prefered to have an evening walking on a Brasov streets and we have dinner in Brasov. The room and also the entire complex is very nice furnished, i think it is an shabby chic style combined with some rustic Romanian details, very nice and comfty. All around very clean. The access in a spa is included. The spa is quite small for how many rooms the complex has, but it is still an advantage.

The hotel does not keep its promise to be an oasis of peace and relaxation. It is a lit of noise at night and you cannot get a restful night sleep. The doors and walls of the hotel are not soundproofed, the cleaning ladies are noisy. If it rains, the rainwater drain makes a lot of noise. The closet in the room does not have usable selves and you cannot not even partially unpack. The tables at the restaurant are not regularly disinfected, they are sticky. Until tou get a menu at the restaurant it takes around 15 minutes and after another 15 more your order is taken. At the spa not all facilities are usable, the water in the inside pools is cold, the outside pools are not usable.
When we wanted to leave the hotel in the middle of our stay, we told the manager our reasons and the fact that for us the stay at their hotel was not working for us. He said the money for the remaining nights would be reimbursed in 7-10 working days and that never happened. Every time we contacted him afterwards he just told us he had to check something and come back. He never did. It is extremely disappointing that a 4 star hotel does not take responsibility for what happens in their hotel and don’t care about their guests.

First of all, the sanitary measures are not taken into account, the mask is not worn by the employees, and the most terrible thing is that we were hit for the second time by the situation in which the bed linen was not changed. Given the situation with covid this is inadmissible.
The second thing, the food is more expensive and the quality is low, twice we asked to change our food because it endangered our health.
Thirdly, the spa does not change the water in the pool, it smells very bad, I always asked for aromas for sauna, water, etc.
I considered it the best breakfast, but this time I couldn't find any omlette or bread, and the dishes were empty. The excuse was that they didn't expect more people and were taken by surprise. Bad coffee, as usual.
The quality of services has dropped to the lowest level. I've been to this place four times, and it was the last time.

The complex is located near a forest, they have free parking, a spa area and a superb breakfast. Free bikes ! Kind staff ! Free wi-fi. Free towels, slippers and bathrobes at spa.
BUT,
My room, 115, had seriously problems with the water from shower because the floor tiles had the wrong slope and all the water stayed in all bathroom ! The mini-fridge not working ! For borrow 2 bikes (very good bikes, indeed) i must left my id card even we was clients of complex. No glasses in room !

I chose the place based on the website description: sustainable, bio. The good parts were the clean air, very good and diverse breakfast, as well as the fruits and water in the spa. Also several playgrounds for children. But there are also cons that I would have not expected judging by the prices. The rooms are small and uncomfortable: no place to hang the towel in the bathroom, a clogged sink (I mentioned this at the reception but no one came to fix it), beds with 2 mattresses and dirty walls. Before arrival, I ordered a basket with locally sourced fruits, just to find bananas, kiwi — not only were these not local or bio, but one banana tasted like gas/petrol.
During breakfast (as I said a great one!) almost everybody was going around for food without masks — and the hotel personnel did not say anything, they just had a useless sign asking customers to wear masks.
Overall it is a nice place, but not as great as it may seem.

Baia turceasca insa are miros de canalizare.
Per total recenzia este 2/5 pentru camera 313 si servicii.
Pentru proprietari/conducere: puteti caza cuplurile fara copii in alt corp fata de cel al copiilor.

Probably the reviews are from families with children.
The place is NOT recommended for couples without children.
The location is somewhat isolated at the beginning of a forest/unpaved road.
You can't rest because of crying children and babies, which is a big minus for couples/young people.
The restaurant also seems like a great playground for children.
The only plus is the SPA area (Finnish saunas are very strong - I recommend).
The Turkish bath, however, smells like sewage.
Overall, the review is 2/5 for room 313 and services.
For owners/management: you can accommodate couples without children in a different building than the one with children.
