Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.

Going around Kyoto by train or by bus was not a problem when we went for a visit. It is across Kyoto station (which is a major train station) and a few meters away from several bus stops. The limousine bus from Kansai airport was perfect as its final stop was just right across

Booked 2 rooms n stayed from May 8-10. The rooms were awfully small. I think it’s the second smallest since I travelled from 1970! My bed was soft n barely fitted my wife (107 lb , 5’ 4”) n me (126 lbs, 5’7”). Amazing! We couldn’t open our 28” luggage flat on the ground! The

We stayed 5 nights in the hotel as part of our trip to Japan, It is within walking distance to Kyoto station which is very convenient to travellers planning to use the trains. We stayed in the superior floor level 13. It was quite, safe and nice. Rooms in the superior floor are

We (me, husband and teenage sons) stayed here for two nights and we were very comfortable in our quadruple room. The 4 beds were larger than single (in the UK they are “divans”). The room was large enough to also accommodate a small sofa and large wardrobe so we had plenty of

It’s amazing how attractive a wide angle lens can make a really pokey hotel room look. Our initial delight that it was so close to the station was quickly tempered by the very long wait to check in. When we got to our minuscule room, we were astonished at how such a little space

Hi, is there any parking at or nearby the hotel?
There are stairs but not too many. You could go two routes, either underground tunnel or surface streets. I would go surface streets, it’s a direct walk across the street. Head towards McDonalds and then exit, you’ll see the hotel to the left.

There is a bus station in front of the hotel, but it is a city loop bus. I'm not sure the direct bus to Namba, probably must change the line.
