Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.

As has been said before, this is centrally located across Kyoto train station and a short walk to the Kyoto bus depot. It’s also conveniently next to Aeon shopping mall. Across at the station are many restaurants, food and supplies outlets like 7-11, Lawson etc Ask for a room

I wasn't sure about this, as it is basically across the street from the train station, but the design is lovely, and the proximity was super for when we wanted to board the shinkansen and travel to other areas. It was a great hotel for Americans, as they have an american style

Similar to the hotel we stayed in Osaka, this one is also next to the transit hub. The good thing is, you can have everything next to you. Not just the transit, but also restaurants, convenient stores, and very quickly get on a train or bus for a day excursion. The hotel is

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Be prepared to stay lined up for everything! Queque for checking-in, checking-out, breakfast, elevators etc. Also, it's unacceptable that in such international hotel only few staff people understand BASIC English at the desk. If you need

This hotel has by far the biggest room of my trip in Japan. Its location opposite kyoto station means is convenient getting around. Only downside is not walking distance to the shopping area of Gion and Nishiki.

Just let them know before you arrive. I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem.

Is there problem with AC ? I plan to book for july as it known for being hot! Will it be fixed by then?
There are no problems with the a/c as many hotels including those in Japan switch from heating to cooling on a set date regardless of the weather. The current hotel I am in at the moment in Hiroshima switched to cooling on 3 April. Since then we have had some cool days making the room quire cold.
