Lovely place very quiet and peaceful. Hubby was a disappointed he never got to go clay pigeon shooting but it was out own fault we didn’t pre-book and it was booked up. Rooms were lovely and the food was beautiful in the bar. Would highly recommend for a fill out few days.

Dear julia k, It is with disappointment that I read your review regarding the Easter Trail. The Easter trail has been operating since the 15th April, with 100's of people using and paying for the facility so to receive this one negative review its somewhat disheartening. The Fairy Trail after a large investment was installed at Lusty Beg Island less than a year ago and anyone wishing to visit is charged £3 for Children and £2 for adults, the fairy trail is NOT FREE OF CHARGE. We upgrade the trail at different times of the year, ie. Christmas, Easter and Halloween, with new signage, new maps and a new theme and a additional gift hence the cost for children going up to £5. I am sorry that the Fairy Trail and Easter Trail were disappointing for you. Kindest regards Nina

We have just returned from a stay with friends. The island is currently swarming with flying insects so much so that we couldn’t open our windows in the lodge and couldn’t use our balcony to sit outside to appreciate the great Lake views, or use any of the walk trails. The lodge

Dear AHGIVEUSANAME, It's with disappointment that I read your recent review as we always aim to please our guests and go the extra mile. If we could turn off the rain and switch on the sunshine, we would, but unfortunately that is out of our control, as are the flies. As advertised we are a woodland island, were flies and insects are to be expected. I am sure anyone else reading this review will realise how ridiculous it is to give a 2 star rating for flies! Lusty Beg Island Resort and Spa it would appear its not for you as a destination. Kindest regards Nina

Hi, We stayed a Thursday and Friday night in January. The place was very busy...The bar was great on the Thursday Night with entertainment but no entertainment on Friday Night.. As someone said, best that you ring them to find out what's on in the bar …. They are very helpful on the phone....

No there aren’t. There is a very narrow, muddy and stoney laneway leading down to where you catch the ferry over to the island, with cattle grazing freely so take care, because you could damage your car very easily. You should not have to wait long for the ferry unless on a day when there is a wedding as it can only take 2 cars at a time.

Are there toilet facilities available before boarding the ferry
Not that I know off but the ferry crossing takes only a short time maybe 5mins.
