A simple, clean and cozy bed and breakfast centrally located in Barolo run by lovely owners; they were very accommodating to our needs and gave us good suggestions for restaurants and places to see in town.

Stayed here for 4 nights, this B and B is right in the heart of Barolo one of the many hilltop villages in Piedmont. We were delighted with our stay. Daniela is the perfect host she has the rooms setup with everything you need. Our bedroom was a really good size plenty of room for our suitcases without tripping over... More

We had the pleasure of staying here in March. It is a lovely property and the owners could not have been nicer. Two bedrooms (with private baths) in main house. There is also a two bedroom apartment underneath with a kitchen. We stayed in one of the bedrooms that had a private balcony. View was amazing. Beds were comfortable. Had... More

We are glad that we stayed in this B&B for 3 nights even thought they were full earlier when we arrived Barolo. The owner (Daniela) is very sensitive to every little small details such as our washed laundry that was laid on top of the heater. After we returned to our room in the afternoon, she has a special hanger... More

4 lovely days in the heart of Barolo. The city is quite small but very cosy and offcourse full of fantastic Barolo vines. La Giolitta Bed & Breakfast is like a little home abroad. The breakfast is very nice, asking for what kind of egg you would like in the morning. Local products also served in the morning. Cosy rooms.... More

We stayed here 3 nights and used Barolo as a hub for our winery visits in the area. The room we got was very spacious with a nice view over the beautiful Barolo surroundings. The host was very welcoming, and made a nice breakfast every morning with fresh breads, good cheeses, ham and fresh, italian coffee. We would go back

Our room at La Giolitta was delightful. Daniella made us feel welcome and completely at home. She served the breakfasts herself and they were perfect. Every comfort is provided and special efforts were made to make us comfortable in the very hot weather we had. You will not be disappointed with La Giolitta. Thank you Daniella!

Amazing place, Barolo and the surrounding hills are magical as all the towns are made up of medieval architecture. Daniella was an amazing host and I can't believe the quality of the room for the price I paid! The breakfast was amazing as she prepared different foods each day (I stayed 3 days). She was an amazing host giving me... More

You can't really appreciate Piedmont without seeing the hills and the sky, and you can't go many places in Daniella's place without seeing the hills and the sky. An exquisite location with food and service to match, it's just what I always imagined Italy to be like. Actually, a better selection of Barbaresco wines available than Barolo, but all great!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Giolitta is an ancient word people used to describe this neighbourhood of Barolo that overlooks the 'Fava' woods and the delightful amphitheatre of dominating vineyards. The Bed & Breakfast LA GIOLITTA is found in an 1800s building in the heart of the village and in the close vicinity of the castle Marchesi Falletti that houses the Barolo regional wine shop and the Wine Museum. The building has recently been renovated by the Volpi family giving it a friendly feeling, well looked after and furnished in the style of the house. Guests may use our breakfast room which has a kitchen with fridge, electric stove and expresso coffee machine. When you wake up you will find: - a buffet to satisfy your sweet tooth with homemade jams made from fruits of the season, homemade cakes, strudel, tarts and croissants, yogurt, muesli and cereal, fruit juice, fresh bread and biscuit bread, fresh fruit of the season - a savoury buffet with sliced meats, local cheeses served with cugna, eggs if requested. We will prepare your coffee, tea, cappuccino, long coffee, milk and hot chocolate. The overall atmosphere is modern with a "retro" feel, for example, the poker dots jars from Aunt "Dinda" and the abete bureau given to us for our wedding by Zio "Pante". The surrounding photos remind you of how the Langhe used to be in the 50s. The notice board has information about the weather, events and other possibilities ... more   less
