The Giolitta is an ancient word people used to describe this neighbourhood of Barolo that overlooks the 'Fava' woods and the delightful amphitheatre of dominating vineyards. The Bed & Breakfast LA GIOLITTA is found in an 1800s building in the heart of the village and in the close vicinity of the castle Marchesi Falletti that houses the Barolo regional wine shop and the Wine Museum. The building has recently been renovated by the Volpi family giving it a friendly feeling, well looked after and furnished in the style of the house. Guests may use our breakfast room which has a kitchen with fridge, electric stove and expresso coffee machine. When you wake up you will find: - a buffet to satisfy your sweet tooth with homemade jams made from fruits of the season, homemade cakes, strudel, tarts and croissants, yogurt, muesli and cereal, fruit juice, fresh bread and biscuit bread, fresh fruit of the season - a savoury buffet with sliced meats, local cheeses served with cugna, eggs if requested. We will prepare your coffee, tea, cappuccino, long coffee, milk and hot chocolate. The overall atmosphere is modern with a "retro" feel, for example, the poker dots jars from Aunt "Dinda" and the abete bureau given to us for our wedding by Zio "Pante". The surrounding photos remind you of how the Langhe used to be in the 50s. The notice board has information about the weather, events and other possibilities

Great location. Amazing amount of space and comfort. They had the fireplace going for us when arrived on a cold wet night and a bottle of 2009 Barolo for a great price. Hard to beat for a romantic night in a great Italian village.
Perfectly located in town and a great breakfast

Stayed for 5 nights in September and used Barolo as our ‘base’ town as first time visitors to the Piedmont area. We were treated grandly by our hostess Daniela who was a great help with restaurants and directions. Our room was very comfortable (and spotless) - had a nice view and

Myself and three friends just had 3 nights here. The owner, Danielle, was quick to reply to messages on our journey to the appartment, greeted us in Barolo when we arrived so we found it straight away, and gave us a very warm welcome. She couldn’t have been nicer and was amazingl

This was the perfect place to stay for our annual wine trip. Daniela was amazingly helpful in arranging visits to wineries, tastings and restaurant bookings. She even arranged for the chef's son to drive us back from one restaurant! She is a brilliant hostess and looked after us
