We stayed at Ca San Ponzio for two nights in early August. The farmhouse is converted into a B&B and there is also a campground on the property. It's a fantastic value for the price--so lovely and easy to make yourself comfortable. The pool itself is worth the price of admission--warm, with a small bar and floats to borrow, and... More

If you desire to get away from the typical "tourist" trap hotels in the Piemonte region of Italy, make a reservation at Ca' San Ponzio in Vergne, near Barolo. Maurizio and his family will make you feel very much at home, and welcomed into their grandmother's farmhouse. They have done an excellent job with combining the old and new, especially... More

Stayed during our trip in Barolo. Old farmhouse converted to B&B. Managed by 2 brothers. Cosy rooms. Small cellar converted to bar. Self serve after hours and honour system. Write down what you have drunk and they will bill you the next day. I can see that the rooms can be cold if no heating. Breakfast is simple with cereal,... More

The hotel was an extremely pleasant experience for many reasons. It was reasonably cheap, the staff was very friendly and service minded, the breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and large. Special high marks for the "bar", a relaxing room downstairs with all types of drinks and wines (Barolos, Barbera, Dolcetta etc) available, and with self-service. You just... More

We arrived in the area while following a route in "Back Roads of Italy", and stayed for 3 days here. The grounds are lovely and there is a campground behind the house. Our room in the house was comfortable, and the 2 brothers are very accommodating. If there is something you need, you need only ask. Next to the kitchen... More

Wonderful B&B 3km from Borolo. Rustic farm house with newly renovated bathrooms. I specially appreciated the wine cellar and the possibility to have breakfast in the garden. I highly recommened a dinner at the neighboor restaurant, where they sell their own Barolo wine.

We were going to go to Nice, France for part of our honeymoon but my husband to be was watching the James Suckling video about Cannubi Barolo's and asked if we could go to that region instead. We found your place here on TripAdvisor and couldn't believe how reasonable it was and booked immediately. We drove up from Tuscany and... More
