We spent two days and two nights at Island tides, doing what Steve describes as an Eco tour on each day. The first day was rather overcast but we saw plenty of Sea otters, a couple of black bears on the shore line and humpback whales. The heavens opened in the afternoon/overnight but the lodge is very welcoming with plenty of space (only 3 of us staying). Hayley’s cooking was fabulous, the bbq salmon and ribs were great. The second day was much brighter and again we saw Sea otters and bears. Zeballos itself although very small is a lovely location with truly breathtaking scenery. Steve was very considerate and worked hard to show us the wildlife/area, he is also very good company 😊

My son and I visited Steve Shelley for 3 days in September 2018. Steve was a wonderful host making sure this trip has become one never to forget. The fishing was great and Steve took us to great fishing spots. The wildlife experience was superb. Check out the Photo's! At night it was a great pleasure staying at the lovely lodge enjoying the good food and wonderful scenery. Thank you Steve!

Steve Shelley and his team at Island Tides were superb! They went out of their way to cater so well for our group in September of this year. The food provided was excellent and Steve is a superb wildlife guide, who could not do enough for us to ensure we had not only great sightings but that each and every request was catered for. The accommodation is homely, very clean and comfortable and in a great location, right on the banks of the river where Black bears visited often. We would absolutely visit again and cannot thank Steve enough for his kind hospitality and for making this portion of or Canada visit such. success. Thank you to the team!
