Pros: - Central location - Lovely staff who are very friendly - Comfy beds & modern rooms - Good A/C - Nice breakfast (fruit/toast/freah juice) - Great cooking class!
Cons: - Rooms need cleaning regularly (fresh towels/empty bins) every day - we stayed 3 nights and it did not get cleaned - The noise from the road and construction will keep you awake so bring earplugs!
Overall a lovely stay for a few nights in Mirissa!

Upon arriving in the hotel, the staff of Glamour Mirissa explained everything in the room. The room has an unique outside bathroom, and I couldn't help myself and said: " You have a nice bathroom." The staff said :" Thank you." :) After that, the staff showed us the beach in a distance and explained to us how to go to the beach, Coconut Hill, etc. I think this is very good as by explaining everything in advance, the guest will know the location well and what to do in the neighboring area.
The beach is very near from the hotel. There are many restaurants nearby. The room in the hotel is clean and some spots in the hotel look nice with the evening lights.

We spent 4 nights at Glamour Mirissa. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a view of the sky. The owner, Roman, welcomed us over the phone right after we checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. The staff was very helpful and had no problem preparing coconut-filled pancakes for breakfast. They also took care of our laundry willingly.
If we needed anything, we could contact the owner, Roman, directly. He recommended restaurants and gave us travel advice. His wife Lucky organizes cooking classes for guests. The hotel is separated from the beach by only a local road.
During our stay at Glamou Mirissa, we felt very comfortable, and thanks to Roman, the homely atmosphere was enhanced.

Unfortunately, my stay was a bit disappointing. The room had a door leading to what seemed to be an office, which was noisy at times, making it hard to relax. Additionally, the large window faced a busy walkway, so I had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. Not the experience I was hoping for.

Words cannot describe how satisfied I was with my stay in this hotel. The price/quality range is huge. Our room was super spacious with an amazing view on the ocean. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they always made sure we are okay and satisfied. Their juices are pure perfection, I definitelly recommend the watermelon one. They are also offering great prices on whale watching, masaages and a tea company visit (which I definitelly recommend going to if you decide to stay here). After reading some other reviews, yes, the rooms are not automatically cleaned or towel changes are not on daily basis, but all you need to do is ask and they will do it. Also, the water in the shower is cold, but it feels really good in the 35 degree enviroment of Sri Lanka. But if you fancy a hot shower, you still can have it since there is a water heater, which you need to turn on and the staff nicely explained how to do it. And I think that’s great if you’re also looking for an eco-friendly stay. The reception area felt very cozy with cute squirells, (no, they are not bothering you). The owner is very nice and manages the hotel in a very friendly way. A big thank you to all of the staff members who made our stay unforgetabble, I definitelly will visit again.

Excellent host and manager Chandi. Very friendly and welcoming. Spoke brilliant English. Helpful, caring and always around if you needed her. Showed me how to work the shower. Chandi always seemed happy and helpful. Had a cooking class there as well with the wonderful cook lady Kuscum (apologies if I got her name incorrect) we cooked Delicious Sri Lankan food together Room was clean. Big Bathroom Roman the owner took me on a tour of the tea factory and explained everything in English as well as Slovak for the other people. Very much appreciated his time and efforts . Also allowed late check out for an extra charge but discounted rate. He also made the effort to contact me before I arrived to ensure I had his details incase I needed them. Breakfast was good. Toast and jam, fresh fruits and eggs cooked to your liking. 3 minute walk to beach

We had an amazing stay in Glamour Mirissa! The hosts were kind and created a friendly and warm atmosphere filled with love and dedication for their work. They were very punctual to our needs as a guests and helped us to arrange our programme. We had the most exquisite bathroom, with the actual tree inside, which was quite a nice touch, that made us feel like were in magazine room. We surely recomend the cooking class with authentic Sri Lankan food, where we had fun and learned something new as well as explored a cultural aspect. Thank you very much for making our stay so wonderful, we hope to return again as soon as possible.❤️❤️❤️

Upon arrival at Glamour if we had not had to pay nine days in advance we would not have stayed. The reception and outside area was dirty and needed a good clean. That morning we had checked out of a hotel in Udawalawe which was in the jungle and that was spotless so no excuse really. Our room was shabby with tired fixtures and fittings. Furniture stained. We had no hot water throughout our two day stay. The water was tepid only due to sitting in the pipes. Our sea view room had the hotel washing hanging over our tterrace and it stayed there even after we were observed by staff returning to our room. No Coca Cola/aerated drinks available. Tea, coffee and fruit juice only available. Our room was not cleaned during our two night stay. No change of towels or drinking water replaced. Bin overflowing. No satellite tv, pre-recorded films only. Stayed in six different hotels during a ten day tour of Sri Lanka and could not fault them but disappointed with Glamour. Staff pleasant. Breakfast okay.

We definitely recommend this place! Host is very kind and helpful, he arranged us whale watching tour and also took us to tea Factory - amazing experience. Everything was clean, wifi connection was good also for working on home office mode. Breakfast was rich and delicious plus you got breakfast whenever you wanted without long waiting. Beach is right accross the road and there are many good restaurants around. If you have any problem/question/request, host is always ready to help :)

Superb place. Nice, clean, tidy. Silent fan and good airco in the room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Also we loved the great breakfast that included plenty fruit and was in general of a great quality. This all for a very modest price. If we will be back in the area, we definitely stay only there.
