We chose to book in this b&b for the following reasons:
- is only 10 minutes from the center of Lecce.
- has the possibility to park the car in front of the b&b, while in Lecce it is really a problem.
- the tranquility of the area.
- the possibility to walk to some restaurants in the area with local and non-tourist cuisine
- and then .... The rooms and bathroom really spacious.
- finally the very abundant breakfast both sweet and savory made personally by Mrs. Raffaela.
- strategic central location, close to the main roads that make you get to Gallipoli in just 30 minutes and Otranto in 40 minutes

A few days but they were enough to understand that it was an excellent family-run accommodation facility. Hygiene, cleanliness, home-made breakfast provided by the host Raffaela reigned supreme. Maybe 10 euros more expensive than the standard of the place.

We love Lecce, it's the Florence of the South, but we prefer staying out of the Centre in order to Park and tour the Coastline of the Adriatic. Enter I Culummi (the figs) B&B in Cavallino, just 4 km south of Lecce. It's a beautiful boutique B&B on the first floor with 3 ensuite rooms, and a wonderful shared Lounge and Sun Terrace.
Cavallino is as typical a small Italian village as you will find with Piazza, bars, restaurants ( try la Rimesa) restaurant, steeped in archaeological finds.
Clean, comfortable, elegantly chique with fabulous breakfasts. Rafaela, the Manageress sees it a personal mission to exceed all expectations.
Next time we will book all 3 rooms with friends so we can have the run of the whole place. If you hire a car at Brindisi, you have one of the most spectacular peninsulars in Europe at your feet. Make sure you visit Gallipoli, Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca and Porto Casaro. You will need at least two days to discover Lecce.

I will totally recommend this b&b, the bedroom and bathroom was perfect for us, big, clean and comfortable. The owner is such a sweet person that just for her availability, the way she explains all the spots of her region and her delicious breakfast, it is worthy to spend your night in Salento. Hopefully we will come back soon.
Thank you for the wonderful stay.

I visited this new B&B recently, collecting my Mother for Summer in Cornwall. It's appointment is exquisite, full of Italian home style. I was born in this village (Cavallino) , which is barely 3 miles from the beautiful city of Lecce, a cultural centre of Puglia. Collected car from Brindisi Airport, straight down the motorway, takes half an hour.Plentiful Parking and good road network to explore the whole Peninsula. Cavallino has a fabulous Piazza with archeological museum, cafes, restaurants all an easy 10 minute walk from the B&B . If you want to explore Puglia and Lecce, are interest in history, architecture and good food, its a great place to stay.
