It is family owned, and the whole family participates in running the place. They use local or selfproduced products for lunch and suppers. They speak english, and are really serviceminded and helpfull, giving good advises about sights or travellingroutes. We enjoyed the stay, and would be glad to come back.

A beautiful place to stay in Le Marche. Fantastically hosted by Claudia who can cater for all needs and strange requests. Great food - a fixed menu with all those great Italian dishes you wouldn't naturally order but you always wanted to try. Excellent walking up to the villages of Smerillo and Montefalcone where you will be lucky to pass... More

Fantastic food here at this family-run rural getaway. Set menus only but of the very highest quality, great welcome, good facilities, all tastefully done. Shame I didn't have longer there, will be back

This B&B is located in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Reasonable access from the bustle and dirt of Rome but a world apart: scenic vistas, the best of old world charm, and friendly people in an atmosphere that will relax even the most harried professional. Matthew was an excellent guide and host, with extensive knowledge... More

We spent eight days with Matthew, Claudia and their extended family for a conference. Everything Claudia cooked was locally grown from their own garden, hand made or bought from the local economy. The food was the best thing I ever put in my mouth, the dishes varied and homemade. The room was beautiful with a great view, very well appointed... More

We were here two years ago and loved the scenery and the family that runs the B&B. This time we took two friends with us and they also were impressed by Claudia and her family, their kindness, the good food, and the beautiful setting, which is Smerillo. Claudie speaks great English and is very helpful in any situation as we... More

Our stay with Claudia and Matt was perfect. The surrounds are peaceful and relaxing. The food was devine. Could not have asked more from our stay. There were 9 guests 1 child in staying while we were there. All of us were in Smerillo for a wedding. Most of us had a lovely dinner on the terrace one evening. Not... More

We stayed here for 6 nights at the end of September, and had the place to ourselves for 3 days. If you enjoy peace and quiet, beautiful surroundings, and delicious, homecooked Italian food, then look no further. No problems with language as Claudia speaks good English, (helping with attempts at Italian), and Matt, her husband is English. The welcome is... More

We wanted a place in Smerrillo as that is where my father's family comes from. We speak absolutely no Italian but our hostess, Claudia and her family made us feel extremely welcome, even though, I messed up our arrival date, and got there a night early. When we arrived there was a beautiful scent in the air, the birds were... More
