We enjoyed our stay in this mini resort or pocket paradise, run by an attentive host and a friendly staff. The rooms are clean and have a unique and personal design. The food is excellent, local produce presented in stylish dishes. You can do relaxing beach walks or chill at the pool in our out of the sun. When we saw only 1 dolphin on our first ocean safari, they organised a free of charge second dolphin safari we saw nearly thousands dolphins. Highly recommended. Kris & Dora, Belgium

Beautiful small resort on the north-west coast of Sri Lanka. Sand under your feet from the time you arrive. Accommodation is glamping tents with your own facilities and a private courtyard. Infinity pool faces directly west so you can watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean. Dolphin watching tours leave from the beach directly in front of the Resort but o ly operate in the morning. The resort is close to an old Dutch fort which is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Dear Ross Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this review for fellow travellers on Trip Advisor and for the kind comments. We are all delighted that you enjoyed your time with us and that we were able to play a small part in creating some wonderful memories of your time in Sri Lanka. On a separate note, the dolphin tours always leave early morning as this is the best time to find them after they return from the deeper waters at night where they go to feed. Wishing you all the very best Pat and the DB Team

Our first (2 day) stop on our 18 day SL trip. The resort it right on the beach, the Rajashtan style (tented) accommodation was a great experience and very comfortable. The food, staff and facilities were fantastic and just what we needed to revive after a long flight and drive. Pat, who manages the resort was very helpful in sorting our trips for snorkelling and dolphin watching, she also takes the time to work with and further skill up some of the newer/ younger staff members working there - well done and great hostess too.

Having spent a month travelling around Sri Lanka with two young boys we were excited to spend the last bit of our trip relaxing at Dolphin Beach. Our stay here was an absolute highlight of our time in this magnificent country. From the minute we arrived until we left 5 days later, Pat the lovely manager and her team made us feel like we were at home and couldn’t do enough for us. The family tent was lovely and spacious and the communal areas were incredible. So peaceful, so many amazing spots to chill and some wonderful activities all laid on it seemed silly not to get involved. Whale and dolphin watching, yoga and massage, kite surfing....it was all brilliant and made our time there unforgettable. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the place was beautiful and we’re already so excited to go back there again one day! Those sunsets and memories will be with us forever. Thanks Pat- we miss you! Xx

Dear Chantal It was an absolute pleasure meeting you and the family and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. All the staff miss your son and he has been the talk of the resort since you left - I certainly missed him joining me for breakfast this morning. It’s always so rewarding to hear that guests enjoyed the facilities and what we are about as a resort - whether you want to relax and chill or have some adventure and it’s a real privilege to help create those memorable moments. Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this excellent review and we are all looking forward to having you come and visit again. All the very best Fond regards Pat and the DB Team

We arrived so late ( road trip) without any prior bookings and Pat, the manager, was so sweet to just give us a one of their beautiful bangalows ( tent like) and settle everything the next day. Beautiful beach, serene, peaceful, we were so lucky to be taken in the boat as well and be part of the Sunday annual ceremony! However we missed the boat ride to see the dolphins and whales! This place felt like home. Pat is such a great lady, Elisa the yoga instructor is so sweet and the tai message therapist as well. The staff are all so sweet. The area is purely natural and I hope it stays like that! The owner of this resort chains, Dellas a pure gentleman, happened to be there and we had the pleasure to meet him. We would definitely stay there again; highly recommended as well as the resorts nearby ( same chain)
