The cleanliness of the chalet was superb, well maintained property. Meals could have improved, but given the seasonal factors, acceptable. Beach was very clean in front as the hotel clean it, but you can't walk a long way due to polluted beach. Peaceful environment and good service. Highly recommend for a couple. Corner most chalet has the best view.

We were on our way to Madu Church and we decided to a stop over at Puttalam, and that's when we found Melheim Beach as an option and booked then and there for one night. We arrived and this was just after the lockdown was lifted, and we had little so supeuer worried about safety and cleanliness. Melheim was absolutely the best choice we made. They followed all protocol, had a dedicated dining table for us and with limited staff and them having just opened to the public, they provided us with the best service and great food. The service and ambience of the place was so good, we felt that we had to naturally extend our stay by one more night and we did just that. The rooms were spacious, the garden is huge, the beach is just beautiful and they even have a swimming pool. Highly recommend this place for small group as this place has only 6 rooms and it is soo private.

Excellent Place to relax. Situated in an isolated location near Norochcholai beach. Breathtaking sea view from our room, has a nice pool too. The hotel secluded with only 6 room. Ideal for couples. Food was great and the service was excellent. The staff was always kind and very helpful.

The hotel itself is situated secludedly on the beach. It is a small complex with three bungalows - six rooms in total. These are a little bright but in themselves very beautiful! For somebody who wants to escape from the daily routine it is surely the right thing. The next restaurants are about 7 km away. The complex itself is beautiful, but the surroundings are not. The beach to the left and right of the hotel is full of rubbish, there are wind turbines to the left and right, which are also very loud. There is also a power station next door. If you are lying at the pool, depending on the position, the wind wheel and one hears it in any case. Wlan is not available in the rooms, only in the entrance area, the pool area and the dining room. It also does not always work so well. For dinner: In itself, the meal times are unknown. After the dinner, one is asked when one wants to have breakfast and in the evenings, the menue for dinner is brought to the room to choose. The food is simple but delicious! But it is also very expensive in relation. If one wants to have lunch, there is indeed a menue card, but one does not always get something and/or not everything. One day, we asked for a snack and were offered some french fries. As the personnel cannot speak fluently English, there are more often communication problems. Also the service leaves something to be desired. If you want something, you have to approach the staff actively. Water, tea and coffee are provided as standard. We had asked for beer for dinner twice - once it was already out. At the second try an employee went off with his scooter. There is no bar - as written on the booking.com site! There is a refrigerator in the room, but without contents (no minibar). There are also no wellness offers. All in all you can spend one or two days here but not longer.
