From the Arrival to check out everything was great. we discussed with the all the meal plans prior to arrival than we discussed additional things at the buffet ,In the first day Seafood curry is yummy not only that other meals also above the our expectations level.The Owner,Manager and other all staff are very friendly and helpfully.we really got the value for money. In the kalpitiya area highest no of accomadation available in this resort.

Nice resort with good atmosphere and amazing food (the owner cook himself). As they have a boat you are flexible about the kite spot. So you can kite in less busy places of the lagoon and they offer downwinder as well.

I stayed at vampuri for 4 nights. staff was super friendly, food was amazing and kite equipment was decent.
Owner is very helpful to organize trips scooter or even tuktuks. .
Place has Ana amazing pool rooms are big and have outside ahowers. Pool is superb.
All in all I can highly recommend that place

Best hotel in kalpitiya, boasting stunning lagoon views. This enchanting retreat offers an ideal setting for a family vacation. The chalets are impeccably kept, and the culinary delights, particularly best seafood resturant in kalpitiya; receives our hearty approval. The staff is exceptionally warm and attentive. Our sincere appreciation goes to Mr. Dileep, who provided invaluable support throughout our stay. Their rates are undeniably reasonable, making the entire experience truly worthwhile.

We visited this resort end of Feb without much expectation because the hotel gave us a low rate comparatively to other resorts and mainly we wanted a simple getaway. One of the ideal location to have a group party-time or even to enjoy a relaxed time with less than a palm fingers of friends. However, not a romantic place for couples but, families with kids can have a good time as well. The hotel owner and the staff were very active, friendly and easy going. The breakfast and lunch was standard and regular but, the BBQ dinner was amazing and especially the service rendered from their hearts. The rooms are average and worth for price. These guys are specialized in water sports such as Kite Surfing, Kayaking, Boat Rides, Dolphin Watching etc. and helped us to do some free Kayaking in the lagoon. They have a charming swimming pool too. Overall we had a very satisfied stay and will definitely recommend to others. Thank you Valampuri Kite Resort team for making our short holiday memorable.

Valampuri Kite Resort in Kalpitiya is truly remarkable, exuding both beauty and a rare sense of tranquility. These three words aptly encapsulate the resort’s aesthetics and ethos.
During our two-night stay with our family, we secured all available rooms with a full-board package at an astonishingly reasonable rate. The hotel’s ambiance and culinary offerings were nothing short of exceptional. We all found ourselves wishing for more time at Valampuri, yearning to return soon and immerse ourselves once again in the serenity of this exquisite establishment and the surrounding village.

I had a great experience at Valampuri Resort. I felt at home, all staff are very friendly and always willing to help. There are several activities such as kayaking, slackline, stand up paddle or kitesurfing (the most famous). All the traditional Sinhalese food that I tasted in the hotel restaurant were delicious. The place is very beautiful and the pool has an ideal temperature and the sunset from there is incredible.

Due to the incredible reviews, my family of about 40+ people went to this resort for an overnight stay. It should suffice to say that it was the worst place I've ever stayed at. The washrooms had no drainage so some rooms had a mini pool on the floor of their bathrooms. It was unaccessible. The comods were broken and leaking and many rooms didn't have a proper lock/key. The staff was rude and the rooms weren't even ready 2 hours after our check in time. We were waiting in the hot sun without a room, this includes little children and babies.

We may have came across as rude, since we didn't expect to see 40 plus people to came in with lunch packets and eate in our facility. We are deeply sorry to hear that your experience at our resort was unsatisfactory. We take all feedback seriously and would like to offer our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused. We understand that you and your family had high expectations based on our reviews and we regret that we were unable to meet those expectations. We apologize for the issues you experienced with the washrooms and the condition of the rooms. We will make sure to address these concerns with our maintenance team and ensure that they are fixed as soon as possible. We are also sorry to hear that you found our staff rude. This is certainly not the level of service that we strive to provide and we will use your feedback to improve our training and customer service. Regarding your check-in experience, we understand that waiting in the hot sun for two hours is not acceptable, especially with children and babies. I planned to spend one week here, but ended up staying for two. The atmosphere is great and the staff is so friendly. The pool is a really nice feature and there are always the most incredible sunsets. There are lots of great birds here that can be spotted from inside the resort and also from kayaking around the lagoon.
The food here is also sooo good (especially if you love seafood/ want traditional Sri Lankan food)!
I highly recommend staying here next time you are in Sri Lanka :)

You came on wrong time of the year, usually at this time we have less people at this time.
We have a couple booked to stay with us until 10 th October, other than that I have no booking yet.
I wish I can suggest a resort in kalpitiya but it will me more or less the same,
Best you email these resorts and see.
There are more places to choose from in the Kalpitiya area.
