I was extremely impressed by this trip to Nyaung Oo Phee. About an hour or so by boat from KawThaung, I felt instantly relaxed as the water before me took on a blue and emerald hue, despite a slightly weary journey. Our trip from Yangon to KawThaung, where we stayed at the Victoria Cliff Hotel, was impeccable in its service, the staff were warm and friendly, dedicated and welcoming in both transfers and assistance arrangements. Upon arrival at Nyaung Oo Phee, our guide Nyi Zaw was equally impressive, taking us through many beautiful places and carefully guiding us in our dives, patiently explaining safety matters and ensuring we could safely enjoy the beauty of the seabed. After the dive, the staff also prepared sweets such as watermelons and oranges and helped take beautiful photos, which was a great experience. The island's cuisine is also very rich, with a variety of options for each meal, which has left each of us savoring and even gaining a few kilos! After dinner, the island also has a spectacular show, especially a fire dance show, which is stunning. In addition to the attentive service and food, the island's environment is also very tidy and hygienic, making the whole journey more comfortable. This trip completely relaxed me and made me fall in love with Nyaung Oo Phee Island. The views, the warm service, the abundance of activities, all haunt me. If I had the chance, I would have come to this beautiful paradise again!

This resort is easily one of the best resort! We had a wonderful stay in which we were well taken care of and full of fun activities. There are several reasons why this resort is great
The staff were very friendly and try to take care of your every needs which in itself is amazing! The guide, Paing Soe was very informative and took care of most of the activity planning so we do not have to worry at all about the itinerary. He, along with other guides, showed us the aquatic ecosystem as we snorkeled in the water.
Scuba diving was also a very fun experience. None of us had done that before and we were taught from the beginning. This was handled by certified divers and again, were very nice and patient. During both scuba diving and snorkeling, the guides will also take pictures of you!
The food was delicious as well, mostly involving fresh seafood. The quality and flavor are much better than most other hotel/resorts. We were also treated with live performances for dinner!
The resort itself is beautiful, you get to enjoy the calm and the atmosphere of the beach without much clutter/chaos that is usually seen at other beaches. With clear waters, you can see the aquatic wildlife even if you are not snorkeling.

Having a floating jetty and also a concrete jetty make the arrival dry unlike other islands. Beach is naturaly clean as it takes 90min ride in a speed boat. Nearby madam beach is more beautiful which is also part of the resort. Snockling experience is perfect because of the skillful guides. Nimo fishes, coral and antimoni are colourful and diverse. Grilled sea fish is so fresh and tasteful that duck curry and chicken wings become side dishes. Rooms have full facility including wifi in such a location of midsea.

“When I was on my way from Kautthoung to Nyaung Oo Phee Island, I was a little bit excited. When I arrived at Nyaung Oo Phee Island, I felt relaxed and refreshed. The staff were also very friendly. The dinner was really convenient and enjoyable. The fire dance and the beauty performances were also very interesting. The feeling of watching the sunrise was amazing. Swimming was so fun, and the underwater beauty was clear and really captivating. During the evening walks on the beach, the peaceful atmosphere and the sound of the waves were irreplaceable. I didn’t want to leave this island because I had such a wonderful time. Guide Ko Nyi Zaw was also very nice and patient. He took great photos for us, and the underwater photos came out really well. Came to Gaodang for travel on 2023/12/21-26. The hotel facilities on the island are great, the spa is also great, and the meals are good. There are performances every night. The most special one is the fire dance show. It is the first time I have seen it abroad. It was such a great performance. It was great. The tour guide, Guide Nyi Zaw Oo, had great service and was very kind. He was very professional in snorkeling. It was our first snorkeling experience and we had a great time. He even took us boating. I was very scared at first, but with the tour guide I felt relieved and I didn’t have to worry about the boat capsizing. It was great. The tour guide cared about whether we were eating well and sleeping well every day, which made our trip very enjoyable.

Among the many islands, we chose Nyaung Oo Phee, which is indeed worth a visit. The beach is beautiful and the water is very clear. You can see many fish and corals while snorkeling, and boating is also fun. It’s a rare opportunity for children to get close to nature. Although it was a bit bumpy to take the boat out to sea, the experience was unforgettable. The tour guide Nyi Zaw Oo is polite and provides attentive service. The hotel is very comfortable, and the dishes change every day, especially the local seafood dishes. There is also a dance performance to watch during dinner, and the fire dance is quite exciting. The family has left wonderful memories here and hopes to travel to Kaythaung again in the future. I recommend everyone to come and take a walk.

I had an incredible time on Nyaung Oo Phee island, truly a hidden gem. The resort offers a variety of water sports and scenic hiking routes to explore. The ocean is absolutely stunning, with its crystal-clear, vibrant turquoise hue. My guide, Mr Nyi Zaw, made the experience unforgettable, taking me on snorkeling adventures and guiding me to the perfect spots for sunset hikes. I highly recommend him if you’re visiting! It’s the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of the more crowded Myanmar islands.

Spent 2 nights at Victoria Cliff Resort at Nyaung Oo Phee Island. Stayed at the ocean view villa. Beautiful private clean white sandy beach, clean rooms, excellent view from the room, peaceful, many nice places to sit & relax. Breakfast, lunch & dinner were great with many options, different seafood dishes served with every meal. Superb service at the dining area. Staff were very attentive. Wish the snorkeling was a little longer at each spot (at least 45 minutes), felt rush & only cover small area at each location. I wanted to see more. The boat crew were attentive & made the boat ride comfortable. We were fed through out. The culture dance was disappointing & embarrassing especially with the Chinese dances which I understand they were trying to please the Chinese customers. We were there on the Chinese New Year & the day after. Guitar playing part could have started around 6:30pm & should play while customers eat. Kachin & Shan dances were fine. Could have selected better music choice for other dances. Fire dance was excellent. Swimming pool area looks great but felt that it was too high. Wish it was at the ground level. Registration/check in desk needs a sign. It was only in Chinese. The desk near the dessert area looks out of place. Don’t know what that desk was there for, tho there was someone sitting there during meals. Toilet area on the boat could be cleaner. It was quite dirty. There were also some jellyfish at some areas which is not avoidable. Overall we had a great time & it was a beautiful property. Excellent service & everyone was very accommodating.

Since we're a private island, we have our own entertainment program like fire show and other dances until about 10 pm every night.
We do not have night life like the City.
We've different types of scuba diving packages like Open Water, Rescue, EFR, Dive master, FUN DIVE, etc.. Around the island, we can go about 30 Meter.
Our Diving center will have, BSC, Wetsuit, Diving Boot, Marine light, Fin, Regulator, Dive Com, etc...

Hi Mr Rohan N, you can take direct or transit flight from Yangon to Kawthaung, whichever is available at the time of booking. It takes 2.5 hours to 3 hours. From Kawthaung, you need to take a 1 hour 20 minutes speed boat ride to reach to the resort. For this, you need to contact the property in advance.
Mostly people stay a night at Kawthaung before leaving to resort on the Island as the boat usually leaves in the morning and there's no flight early enough to catch the boat. But with corona situation, it might be the whole different situation altogether. :)
We currently don't have Snorkeling masks that are magnified. We will try to resolve this issue soon.
For snorkeling fins, as corals in Nyaung Oo Phee Island and around is existing quite shallow from the surface, we don't allow fins for snorkeling purpose. Fins are allowed for diving purpose and free dive areas only.
