Room was very outdated and tired looking, also was dirty, fridge didn't look like it had been cleaned at all, had holes in the ceiling, the bathroom had poor drainage, the service was extremely poor, the hotel it self was dirty I would definitely not recommend the riddiford hotel to anybody.

Had booked this accomodation, paid and confirmed 8 months prior to going. Phoned to check on something and was told we had no rooms there as we hadn't confirmed!! After a few phone calls we were told they would find something for us.... Quite terrible! Place was dirty, staff rude and abrupt, shower terrible and wouldn't stay upright and was... More

This hotel was in the cheaper range and the location in central Hutt was excellent. The lady at the desk offered us her car park as our car contained my son's flat contents. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The court yard area could be a bit tidier but on the whole I would stay there again.

Dirty dirty dirty! I think this hotel just had Chinese tour groups and truck drivers as their main customers. The restaurant doesn't have the wine on the wine list and the food is terrible! Avoid this place. It's shocking and as a New Zealander I feel ashamed that this exists!

Where to start, this could be a great hotel but it needs a complete revamp. There are two positives for this hotel and to be honest you would have to be desperate for them to count, they are price and location. With this "hotel" you really get what you pay for, I usually stay around the corner but as this... More

As you enter you are greeted by a stack of broken plant stands to the right of the doorway. The reception counter looks welcoming from a distance. As you book in, the scuffily dressed receptionist takes your details but there is no welcome comment or facial expression. Behind the desk are boxes of paperwork and overflowing waste paper bins. As... More

This is dirty hotel. I is is in need of a complete upgrade. Cleaning would not be enough. But it has 3 Redeeming features: 1. Location if you want to be in the 'city' centre. 2. Restaurant if you want authentic Chinese cheap. 3. Friendly staff....once they woke up and I asked for some real Chinese food; chicken feet.

The location was very close to all locations we wanted. The room was clean, warm and tidy. We did not experience any hot water problems as some others had complained of. The rooms were a bit smaller than some hotel rooms, but so was the price. The hosts went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and... More

Absolutely revolting with a pungent odour of filthiness. Stained carpet which looked as if it has never been cleaned or vacuumed, dirty bedding & bathroom and 9 years of dust collecting on windows, curtains and skirting. We checked out after 10 minutes of arriving. Couldn't pay me to stay there.
