We booked this motel as it was close to the ferry, when booking, several weeks in advance, we stated that 'we will be arriving from late picton ferry Guest ETA: 2300'. We called the morning of our stay to make sure they knew we would be arriving late, and were told they couldn't find the booking, could we confirm how...

I chose to stay at Lower Hutt because it's close to Wellington and it's cheaper to stay here. Hutt City was an average motel. We stayed in a 2-rooms apartment. Reception was friendly and no fuzz, they get ready our room earlier than check-in time, nice. But once we stepped into the apartment, we realized it's rather small in it,...

This is a budget place. Quite old and tired - but cheap. we found it very noisy with the motorway just outside the window. Laid awake for a long time hoping a car wasn't going to take a quick exit. Didn't see much of the reception but she was friendly when we arrived.

This Motel is what it is a budget place to stay. We appeared to have been upgraded free of charge, which was a nice surprise even if we weren't told, and spent our stay wondering. The room was very clean with a well appointed kitchen however we had to ask for tea towels and dish cloth. The full rubbish skip right...

We booked this for a 3 night stay in Wellington recently, and enjoyed a warm welcome, spotless and comfortable accomodation and real value for money. It is increasingly difficult to find places that enable travellers to bring the family pooch, and Hutt City Motel were fab. A warm and sincere welcome from Bev, approachable and helpful service all round. We...

We travel a lot. We also have a dog that travels with us. This motel is perfect as there is a leash free area just across the road alongside the river. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Will stay again next time we are in the area.

The women who works here was so friendly and welcoming. The kitchen is well fitted out with everything you need. Spacious two bedroom unit, perfect for families. Just off main road but not noisy. Short car ride to main lower Hutt shopping area and train to Wellington, which is probably a cheaper option than paying for parking in Wellington.

These are again older units. The main living areas are tidy & comfortable but I thought it would have been good to have had another sofa or lounge chair in the living area. The bathroom & toilet will need to be refitted shortly as they are passed their best by date! Traffic noise was not an issue in our unit...

We stayed here during our recent move to Wellington, so it was organised for us by my work. I'll say up front it wouldn't have been somewhere we would have chosen to stay. It is right beside the Hutt Motorway and while they state they have a noise proof fence, it doesn't work. The hostess was very friendly but seemed...

I had heard about this motel from friends, so stayed a few days as I was in the area. Many other Moteliers could take a leaf out of Bev and Dean's book. They were the most welcoming hosts I have ever come across, and nothing was too much trouble for them..no question went unanswered. My unit was absolutely spotless in...
