George and Nanette were amazing hosts and made us feel right at home. The pups Flynn and Patty were also incredibly sweet and made the stay that much more special! Look no further for the best B&B in the area!
We stayed 3 nights here and could have been staying there even longer. The property it’s a little bit outside Blenheim but still very easy to reach and actually quite in the middle between Blenheim and Picton (whose tracks are worthy to explore!).Our room was cozy, warm and charming, fantastic combination between an authentic heritage building and elegant yet warm taste from the owners. As said in other reviews, Nanette and Steve are friendly yet not intrusive hosts, and their breakfast served just outside the veranda is to die for! Loved everything about our stay and still not sure if we want to share this little spot with everyone or keeping it a secret 😜!
We spent two nights in the outside 'barn' which was great. Very quiet and peaceful with a nice rural feel to it all. The property itself is truly lovely as can be seen from the photographs. Steve and Nanette are welcoming but not intrusive hosts, just what one is looking for on such a trip. Their dogs are lovely too! The bed was very comfortable and you had everyone needed. Steve and Nanette were also a great source of information if needed (great tip Steve about stopping at the Pelorus Bridge, we also did the short walk there which was gorgeous). As others have said, this property was easy to find with the directions given by hosts and was within easy reach of Picton and central Blenheim and surrounds. Steve and Nanette were also able to secure a great booking for us at a top notch and much heralded local restaurant, which for us was the icing on the cake. Many thanks. Highly recommended. …
We had only a one night stay but found the picturesque house a delight with our wonderful garden suite comprising a small sitting room, large bedroom and modern bathroom. Hosts Steve and Nannette Kirk were interesting and provided a good breakfast in the dining area of the large kitchen. A well worthwhile stay and perfectly situated to discover the region
My partner and I stayed at Woodside for 3 nights. It is a brilliant location for twitches (bird watchers) and within a close proximity to Picton for day trips on The Sounds and to The Golden Mile (vineyards). Upon arrival, we were greeted by Steve who showed us around Adelaide’s Barn and told us we were welcome to have lemons and oranges from the trees out the front. In the kitchen we discovered freshly made bread and croissants as well as muesli, juice, eggs, milk, coffee and tea as well as facilities to cook. The fridge was also stocked with local beer and wine (which were delicious). I requested the platter with seafood for our first night so we could go for a short walk after we arrived and then settle in for the evening (please see the attached photo). The bathroom has a laundry as well as cleaning products. We absolutely loved the grounds, the gardens are very well kept and the owners 2 dogs regularly wander around and come and say hello. The old renovated barn has games and DVDs in the lounge area.…
