We couldn't understand why more people didn't go to Marie Galante - it was by far our favourite place we visited in Guadeloupe! So quiet and peaceful - you have the beach virtually to yourselves most days. This hotel was lovely and only a few minutes drive from our favourite beach (plage de la feuillere) and some lovely restaurants. We were greeted with a rum punch which was delicious and the rooms are bright and clean - all feel very private as there are lots of trees on the property. Wi-fi isn't great but that was the beauty of Marie Galante that you could completely switch off and relax!
Hotel tres tres jolie. Suite Exotic marine very confortable with all necessary equipment. Breakfast a little bit poor. Staff very kind. We have also rent a car by the hotel and the service is very useful.
a warm welcome from the great Myry a beautiful garden setting close to major beauty beaches and great restaurants the hotel is small, exceedingly friendly, clean and helpful for any thing you need;rental cars, cabs, take out, dinners for two delivered, excursions and general great island tips be aware no automatic transmissions but i cabbed it for 3 weeks for the same price and there are excursions too
We were welcomed warmly on arrived and shown to the Canelle Cocoon studio. It was wonderful and private and the surrounding garden was well done. We decided to have breakfast which was good value, comprising of fruit, bread, coffee/tea, yogurt and there was plenty of it. Sadly because of Hurricane Maria the Restaurant was closed and Wifi was temperamental. Overall we would thoroughly recommend the establishment.
We loved our three nights at the Rose du Bresil. We stayed in one of the suites, which included a covered veranda with kitchen. It was totally perfect. You really need a car on Marie Galante, so it's not a big deal that the Rose is not right on the beach. There are amazing beaches within a 5 minute drive, and other secluded beaches all around the island. It was great to come back in the evenings to relax and swim in the pool. Access to laundry (6 euros for wash and dry) was very welcome. My only recommendation is they could stand to replace the frying pans in the kitchenette.
