Stayed in the Corner House which had a living room on the upper floor and bedroom/bathroom on the lower floor. The whole property (and village of Lofou) was charming - all beautifully restored and old-world chic. Anyone tired of bland 5* luxury hotels in the coastal resorts would feel at home here - the resort is sympathetically restored to modern tastes, but you feel that you're in a authentic olde-world hotel. Of course, what makes this stand out is the staff - everyone was outstanding.......and no-one had their hand out......quite simply, one of the best places I've stayed in.....ever....and that's saying something. The only downside is that if you're planning to do the walks in the Troodos, this place isn't ideally situated.......but anyone planning to walk in the Troodos would have a car and Apokgryfo is only a 30 min drive from Troodos Square so it's not really an issue.......and I can assure you that any of the more convenient hostelries aren't anywhere near the standard of Apokgryfa. I would return here in a heart beat. Many thanks to Joanna and the rest of the staff - you're all wonderful.

We stayed two nights and were very well looked after by the, ladies who were looking after it. Breakfast was huge and delicious and we had the set evening meal once which was delicious and good value. We were upgraded to the corner house which was lovely, the decor is delightful! Only one little thing to mention, there was a christening the day we arrived which meant we coukd not sit by the pool or use the restaurant, instead were offered lunch in our room. It would have been good to be told this before we arrived.

My husband and I spent three nights at the hotel last year (August) and this year (August). We had a great time and is definitely our favourite weekend break in Cyprus. Rooms: We stayed in the Olive room last year which is a beautiful room with plenty of space for two people plus a little one (our son was not even two months old at the time). The room's balcony is partially covered by a tree which gives you a little more privacy than some of the other rooms. The extra space wasn't needed as the lounge area downstairs is really comfortable, super spacious and overlooks the pool so we didn't spend much time in the room to make use of the additional space, but it was useful if you have a small child. This year we booked the Almond room which is a little larger than the Olive room. The Almond room only comes with a shower, which I find more convenient than a bath as it means my little one can run around in the water with me rather than being restricted to a bath tub. The room has a fireplace (not needed in the summer obv) but can be really cosy for the winter, and there are windows/doors the entire perimeter around the room meaning that you can catch a breeze from any direction! Our balcony was 15 steps away from the pool and 20 steps away from the terrace where breakfast is served. Homely service, very professional and really attentive. My only complaint might be the coffee; the espresso seems to be served as a tripple, and the freddo espresso could do with some ice but we made do - we were here for the break not for great coffee. Food was amazing!

Room Tip: Olive has privacy. Almond is best for pool back to room, back to pool, back to room option

Me and my husband spent a whole week in Apokryfo and that was a great time and one of our best holidays! Guest house is located in a village on the top of the mountain where you can enjoy amazing views. The nature in this area is really beautiful, different from the beach side as well as the Northern area – there are a lot of plants here, green forests, amazing almond trees. We traveled around by car and found that Lofou was the best choice! Surely a lot of our great impressions were made by Apokryfo Hotel which is a place of great hospitality, comfort, calm and enjoyment. Staff is very kind and responsive, they made for us much more than they have to! We are especially grateful to Vivian and Yannis and we hope that we see them again one day! The room was very charming, comfortable and clean. The breakfast and all the food was very delicious! We are completely satisfied with everything and would honestly recommend this hotel to everybody!

We loved our stay. Comfortable rooms, nice sheets, towels and bath products. Personal service and excellent restaurant in hotel. They also have a sauna and massage services. The village is very picturesque with beautiful sweeping views from the room of the hotel. Many walking paths nearby and wineries to visit.
