We found this place on a whim and what a magical experience it was. A rustic retreat that offers real experiences that will allow you to appreciate the Italian Country side im a way a standard hotel will not do. If you appreciate simpleness, potential solidarity, good food, or meeting new people and working your yoga skills (or lack thereof in my case), you may want to check it out! I enjoyed it at least, best of wishes!

I stayed at Italy Country Stay for 10 nights in early April. First of all, Anna the host is the sweetest person and most welcoming person. She knows everything about the area and happily shares and her knowledge through her elaborate guidebooks with hand drawn maps (trust them, Google Maps won’t serve you well there). She cooks the most wonderful meals and I thoroughly enjoyed the dinners with her and the other guests. The yoga was great. Quite intense to do every day when you’re used to three times a day, but it’s a wonderful way to start the day. I spent most days reading books and enjoying the peace and quiet. A few days I went on trips to nearby castles or sights with the other guests, but also managed to get a few beautiful hikes in as well. If I should mention a few negatives, none which were Anna or her places fault, it was that early April was still a little chilly there. As it’s the start of the season, there weren’t many other guests, so I did feel a bit lonely at times, and a lot of the group activities weren’t available. All in all I can highly recommend staying at Anna’s place. It was a very serene environment and great place to gather your thoughts. I will definitely visit again in the future!

I just returned from a 4-day holiday based at A Piana after a hectic business schedule in Rome at a conference, and it was the perfect anecdote. The accommodations are rustic and comfortable, and host Anna is very welcoming and accommodating (and a very good cook) and planned many great activities for us - cooking classes at a local agritourismo, a winery tour, cheese making tour, etc. Her beautiful English Setter 'Neve' is a sweetheart and property mascot. We also visited several lovely local towns, an Abbey, castle ruins, etc. The area is stunningly beautiful, and I must acknowledge our wonderful local driver Federico. The people could not be more friendly and their sense of community is inspiring. Italy as one must experience it. Highly recommended!

Via piana is in the middle of a small town far away, It has nothing but one grocery store. Going about anywhere is either by walking or by a friendly taxi driver called Frederico (who saved me one day by taking me to Sora to fix my phone ! ) Anna is a lovely quiet host with excellent cooking skills and excellent home made wine ! Yoga was okay, a bit of a hassle to go back and forth to the other farm. All in all it's a place away from the usual and without much touristic facilities. Just you and your means of exploration. (:

I just stayed at Via Piana for a month to do some writing and it exceeded all my expectations. The place was beautiful and quiet. The locals were super friendly. The ingredients and the food was so fresh and tasty. This was a great way to experience the real Italy far away from the tourist crowd. Best of all, Anna was the perfect hostess who went out of her way to make me feel at home. You feel like a part of the family when you stay with Anna. Although I spent most of my time writing (while staring out into the green and beautiful Italian countryside), I also went to the market in town every Thursday morning to pick up fresh ingredients and explored a little bit of the surrounding area. I wish I had more time to enjoy the area, but for me, it was the perfect place to sit and write for a month. I hope to go back soon.
