Everything written on the other reviews are so sound. This place is an hidden heaven with an amazing environment. But above all, what makes this place so special is the way how Helen and Christopher engage with their visitors. They are, obviously, passionate about their house and its history. Since 2001, they have been working hard to make their home...

When visiting Ireland, I encourage you to either begin or end your trip at the Lough Bishop House near Castle Pollard, a short drive from Dublin. Helen and Chris will greet you with a warm welcome into their beautifully restored, pristine, home, now with an inviting conservatory, spreading lovely light About. Their organic farm, with Irish horses, moile cattle, sheep, chickens,...

Our last night in Ireland was spent at Lough Bishop House with Christopher and Helen Kelly. It was a perfect way to end our trip. The house is a wonderfully restored 1700s manor house. Every detail is perfect. There is a book showing every step of the renovation and it is amazing to see the loving, hard work put into...

We stayed just one night, our last night in Ireland (farm is an easy hour's drive to the airport). It was the perfect way to end our trip: scenic, peaceful and friendly. The Kellys gave us a fun tour of the farm on a cart attached to a four-wheel ATV; they drove us into fields and we got up-close and...

We stayed here on our first night in Ireland in August of 2015. We had a wonderful stay. The farmhouse is beautiful, friendly and inviting filled with family pictures and their sweet dogs. The room was very clean. Tea and snacks were great, and one of our favorite parts was sitting in the living room with Christopher and Helen. Helen...

Thank you for your comments! Our area of the midlands can be tricky for evening meals. It is true that very little is open on a Monday or a Tuesday evening there just doesn't seem to be the demand. We offer evening meals to guests who are staying, but as per our website people need to book before noon to...

We were so happy we stayed here. It's a little off the beaten path, but still easy to find using Google directions. The house is beautifully restored and wonderfully decorated. Everything was super clean and we enjoyed the living room with a warm fire instead of spending time in our room. There is also a sunroom which would be a...

What a pleasure to stay in Lough Bishop House with the Kelly's. If you are looking for a country retreat - well off the road, homemade food, an example of courageous restoration, a comfortable big bed and a warm welcome this is the place for you. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a night here in September. On the Sunday we...

My cousin and I stayed with Helen and Christopher for five nights in September while we traveled around Westmeath. It was so peaceful and quiet after a day of navigating the "roads" around the county. Nice to come home and have a peat fire for relaxing. They were super friendly ( as were their dogs). Christopher showed us around the...

Welcomed by host Helen with tea and cake, and shown around the restored house. Driven around the farm by Christopher to meet the cows and horses, to view the landscape, to breathe in the country air. Dinner was fine country fare, in the company of our hosts, as was breakfast. This was the best B and B we encountered in...
