We stayed on a riverfront site for two weeks and it was great. The sites were large with plenty of room for the van and vehicle. We were also able to have and enclosed fire, spending many nights sitting around the fire enjoying the serenity of the location and the babble of the water in the river. It is close... More

Not a place for families. We were 3 families staying in tents. The park management is very very arrogant. Whispering is not allowed after 10:00 pm. My 3 year old son was a little uncomfortable and 10:30 pm as he woke up from sleep and the admin person came to our tent with a torch and just yelled at us... More

We stayed in the Park over the long weekend, what a delightful place to stay. Everything so clean and tidy. The amenities and camp kitchens are cleaned everyday, sometimes twice a day. Such a friendly park. The owners cant do enough for you, so lovely and friendly. Its in an ideal location, close to Bright, right along side rail trail... More

Stayed over the long weekend and had a wonderful time. A short 4 minute drive to bright and located just next to the rail trail the park was a great location. The park was clean and tidy with the river offering many adventures for the kids to explore. Management was helpful and friendly to all doing a wonderful job to... More

We have been staying at Porepunkah Pines (almost anually) for over 35 years (3 generations of our family). For the first time, we left the Park thinking "lets find a new place to stay next time". Beautiful setting as usual, although the stairs down to the river could do with a revamp, only user friendly for able people- not kids... More

Low lying trees are an issue for full size caravans, powered sites near river are challenging (not level and no slab), difficult to manoeuvre caravans over busy periods. Toilet/showers dirty, wifi - what wifi. Manage, nets advised town was down however we are not sure how long it has been "down for" as previous reviews mention the same issue. Better arks... More

One terrible experience. Though the park was decent and the amenities were good the owners and management were offensive and very rude. We were in a group of 20 friends and family with kids and were spoken to in the most rude way all three days. It's a family park and they have noise constrains. Woudnt recommend it to anyone... We stayed at the park over the long weekend, The camp site was really cramped up. The management couldn't care less but only abt making money and squeezing everyone together like sardines in a box. The staff was unpleasant, rude and didn't care abt the needs. And this place is expensive. We spent abt $100 a night to put up... More

Pleasantly located in Porepunkah beside the Ovens River and just up the road from Bright. Management was helpful. No wifi ..well, there is at the Office. My cabin was right next to the Great Alpine Rd. (Almost on the road!) So bring those ear-plugs; you'll need them. Cabin was basic and clean. Wonderful walks on both sides of the river.

We had a permanent cabin in this caravan park, but sold it 4 months ago. We are getting on in age and the 5 hour trip from our home to Bright became a chore. But it is a fantastic location on the river. In our younger days (we are both 76) we used to walk to Bright via Porepunkah Back... More
