Take my tip and get a small plane from Vancouver, to Campbell River. Free Shuttle, to Discovery Water Taxi and you'll be met by a small bus from Hollyhock. Be fresh for the start of your workshop. The small plane and the water Taxi are both exhilarating with fantastic air views of Mountains and waterways, and gives a fabulous Birds eye... More

If your're the kind of person who has to ask how much everything costs you've already missed the point of this place. If you're the kind of petson who is fussy, high impact and hard to please, who is not considerate nor cares about the planet, or does not do well with "group think" , or quiet meditation; or is... My husband and I run a business 7 days a week. We were very tired and run down. Hollyhock was perfect. Peaceful, beautiful setting, comfortable lodging and amazing healthy and tasty food. We went for walks, read tons, had a massage, eat very well, had dips in the Ocean, enjoyed the garden.

This place is simply magical. Went there with the whole family and a couple friends to help and it was the perfect balance of fine but unpretentious accommodation with an authentic connection to the land and real retreat into nature. The food may be the best vegetarian cuisine I've ever had in my life! My kids didn't even notice it... More

The delicious, nutritious, varied meals sourced from the extensive garden sprawled in front of the main lodge are just the beginning. We were greeted by smiling faces and freshly picked raspberries, then welcomed to walk barefoot through the living room-inspired lodge to lounge on the deck that overlooks the ocean. The timing of the tide while we were at Hollyhock... More

Hollyhock’s magic comes through the five elements that are an integral part of the Hollyhock experience- food, flowers, ocean, community, & solitude. The food from garden to plate is phenomenal. The only additional ingredient is the love and intention put into the food by the cooks, the food is nourishing to the body, mind and spirit. Then, there are the Hollyhock... More

There is something about Hollyhock. Everyone's smiles, the Desolation Sound location on Cortes Island, the serenity and the natural surroundings. This is a wellness and learning retreat that really walks its talk. Very healthy to be here. Incredible vegetarian food - total gourmet. Wonderful well known presenters and a huge selection of courses but even if you just go to... More

We spent five days here, the latest of several visits. We will be back again soon too. The staff are great, food wonderful and we enjoyed our silent mindfulness retreat. This was our first time in the beach front cabins and it was worth it. It is our quintessential West Coast place.

We stayed at Hollyhock for two nights, right on the beach, and then stayed in a cottage about 5 minutes away for another week, and returned for a few meals, hot tubs and a nature walk. This was an ideal way to experience deep rest and relaxation. The food was incredible (fresh, organic, ethnic fare and truly artistically presented and... More
