Arrived after 8 hr journey to find hotel has NO bar or restaurant. NO kettle in the room, no tea/coffee in the room. NO choice but to walk into town, which is about 200 metres down a hill. Location is good, near RER B station, which takes you into centre of Paris. Hotel has nice garden area, room was clean & comfortable.

My wife and I ended our honeymoon in Paris. We were hoping to spend a couple of days in a good hotel in a great location. Location was great indeed, but so would have been the bridge crossing the Seine rivers next to the Musee and hotel d’Orsay, had we chosen to sleep under it as our experience in the hotel d’Orsay was not any better. The hotel is excruciatingly small. Check-in took 30 min as the staff is under instructions to explain all the perks you can get in hotels from the same chain in Paris such as using the toilets, borrowing umbrellas, all items that no one really uses. Worst of all, there was no water pressure in the room which made it barely ok to brush our teeth but impossible to take a shower. We kindly drew the reception’s attention on this. After checking, they confirmed the issue. However, when time came to check out, there was no reference to the problem and needless to say no proposal for any discount whatsoever. We hate thinking that other hoping for the best time in Paris will be confronted to such a bad experience.

Conveniently located. VERY old building, nicely remodeled. Wonderful, attentive staff. Very wonderful restaurant near by.. names similar to antiquities.... our room was remodeled and original building beams were left open.

Stayed here for two mid-week nights while visiting Paris Sud Universitaire. The rooms are sparse but nicely appointed and large. Really well heated ;useful as we had snow). The breakfast is basic but again nice and plenty of it. So if you want a quiet place to stay close to the university, this is ideal and good value.

I was here for a conference/workshop at the university and for this the hotel's place is excellent. It's very close to the station Le Guichet where the RER B stops. This train is reasonably fast and stops both at some interesting places in Paris like Notre Dame and the airport Charles de Gaulle. It's a 90 minutes train ride, but you don't have to change trains which is nice when you have luggage. Both the upper and the lower part of the university are easily to be reached on foot and both are a 20 minutes walk away. The rooms are small and the wardrobe should either be repaired or exchanged because it was broken. To give you an impression about the size of the room: I brought my yoga mat and was only able to place it in the room after moving the small desk in front of the bathroom door and pushing the bed to the then free wall. Then there were approximately 30cm around the yoga mat in each direction. Since the room was on the ground floor, the wifi was ok most of the time. But it is a bit annoying that you have to reregister every 6 hours. The breakfast contained low quality baguette, croissants, eggs, two choices of cheese, both in plastic, butter, jam and one choice of sausage. It's enough not to go hungry but on the lower end of my minimum expectations.

The overall cleanness of the hotel was not satisfactory (smelling), breakfast was so poor (don't expect a lot, coffee is from Nescafe machine and smells not too much like a coffee!), not too much options to eat for breakfast except the croissant and one bread type, staff were not so friendly and warm at reception desk, hotel location very far from the city and airport and not easy to access. So if you are expecting to see only Orsay and Massy it's your best choice otherwise change your mind. The overall hotel facility was not conforming the number of starts, I assume it as a 2 star.. no place to have a drink (like a small bar) in hotel except the vending machines to buy a coffee or soft drinks. There's NO Air-Condition in rooms, so forget it in warm summer days! Meanwhile the rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable and location was quite

Really a good location. Lots of Bistros nearby with very good food and variety. Marvelous boulangerie close by. They have really good crossiants. Most major museums are within walking distance. Hotel staff is pleasant, courteous and very helpful. We spent a week there and were never disappointed.

I book this hotel fearing because of the rating. But I was positively surprised. It's a very good option if you have to visit Orsay/Saclay area. Very easy to get from Orly airport and next to a commuter train station. Nice and quiet neighborhood.

First of all there seems to be some confusion on TripAdvisor between this hotel (in Orsay) and another hotel with the same name (Hotel d'Orsay) in Paris. The review by Bryan D below for example applies to the Paris hotel, not to this one. This hotel is conveniently located to visit the CNRS labs on the Orsay campus and it is located 2 min away from the Le Guichet RER B station. Rooms are ok, a bit basic and old-fashioned but the bathroom I had had been recently renovated. Breakfast was nice but staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful (my ~10 colleagues staying here had the same reaction). Wifi is free but very slow and there is no bar/restaurant in the hotel (and really not much in the neighbourhood). Don't expect much from this hotel, but if you just need to spend a night in Orsay it will do the job.
