Just spend a week touring Donegal I would highly recommend this hotel, one of the best we stayed in. The room had a view overlooking the sea, was very clean and comfortable and loved the Jacuzzi bath. The staff very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant and couldn't fault the food or...

lovely staff, and quite a nice interior in the reception and restaurant but the rooms themselves are disgusting. Ours stank with damp, was really noisy, dripping toilet, extractor fan making a racket, dirty bed covers, room was not cleaned even though we put out a ready to service sign. Hotel food was average at best. most people staying seemed to...

We stayed here as our friend was getting married in the lodge and spa, the ballyliffin hotel is not worth the money. We had to ask to be moved rooms as the first room was the size of a box bedroom, our new room was not much better as all the rooms are very dated. The hotel was more like...

First the good - the staff were genuinely lovely and very helpful - I couldn't fault them in any way. Now the bad - 120 euros a night for this hotel is just ridiculous. The rooms are small, basic and really quite dated. 14" portable TV, no working WiFi, grubby decor and tired bathroom with loose tiles. The bar was...

Stayed here for a couple of nights on a visit to Inishowen. The food and service was great. no complaints about the room. one star off for poor wifi. essential in an area with no 3g/4g phone coverage.

Had a meal here recently, 8 adults and 4 kids with a baby. Food was great as well as the service, very tentative to our needs, great staff. The place was really busy, must be popular with the locals too. I would recommend this place a visit, well worth it.

I stayed here with my husband. It was for 2 nights b&b with 1 evening meal and was given to us as a gift.we arrived on the Sunday earlier than stated check in but were able to go to our room almost immediately. We found the room clean and bright overlooking the main road. We went for a short walk...

Myself and my partner stayed for two nights in ballyliffin for a friends wedding. The first night we stayed in the ballyliffin lodge down the street which was fantastic but the second we stayed here as the lodge had no rooms available-what a mistake! In all of my life I have never complained about a hotel room but on this...

Just back after spending a few days at this hotel. On arriving the staff were more than friendly and very accommodating and welcoming. Our rooms although a bit dated were very clean and comfortable and everything you needed was there. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was very adequate. Although this is a 3 star hotel the food served was...

Ballyliffin is a small village on the Inishowen peninsula. It has three or four main hotels and one derelict hotel down at Pollan Strand. We have previously stayed at the Strand Hotel and this was the first time at the Ballyliffin Hotel. The hotel is slightly aged and the rooms are due a makeover. For example the radiator in the...
