We got here after a long road trip that day and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms are clean and rather simple but the view makes up for everything, it's breathtaking when you get up in the morning and look out the window. Staff were very friendly and helpful! The evening we checked in, we could have dinner... More

The hotel is on the estuary, with fantastic views of the sea. Had planned our stay with 3 other couples. We were using this hotel as a base to hike Errigal. The room was clean and bright - we had a view out over the sea - and had coffee & tea-making facilities. Unfortunately, the room we had was right... More

We regularly take self catering holidays in this area and having tried just about every place around (except DMs, we don't do poncey) this has been our preferred eating place. Over the years the food has been a bit hit and miss, and I would agree with earlier reviewers that service could have been better. We have also had a... More

Have just spent a lovely relaxing weekend in this wonderful hotel. The setting is beautiful with views over the estuary. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the water. The bed was massive and so comfortable, and the shower was really powerful I would love one like it at home. The food is absolute!y delicious and very reasonably priced.... More

The hotel is on the estuary, with fantastic views of the sea. The staff are universally friendly and helpful, making the stay very pleasant. The breakfast portions are enormous, as are those in the restaurant. The bar is lively with attentive staff (who are all very friendly, of course). The room was clean and bright - we had a view... Picture perfect location. This hotel is situated right by the sea. Lovely warm welcome. Cosy hotel with nice rooms facing the stunning views. Had the bar food that evening - generous portions. The cooked breakfast the next morning was lovely. Would recommend the breakfast special.

We recently had our wedding at Caisleain Oir Hotel. The staff could not do enough for us. They helped with every detail of the wedding. Everything from planning the menu, setting up our hall and arranging a back up venue for pictures in the event of rain ( Beach photo's originally planned). The food was fantastic!! we had so many... The hotel was excellent. We booked two rooms and got beautiful, large rooms overlooking the lake. The rooms are spacious, spotless and well equipped. The staff were outstanding. The management were extremely friendly and made great suggestions for places to visit and what to look out for. The food was excellent and the waiting and cleaning staff were very friendly.... More
