Laura and Rolf went out of their way to make us feel welcome and accommodate changes in our travel plans. Generous hosting. Breakfasts were tailored for each guest's need. Rolf was very helpful to make recommendations re travel routes and restaurants.

We enjoyed a splendid stay at Monte Rosa and were spoiled from arrival until departure by both Rolf and Laura. No effort was spared by our delightful hosts in making this a most memorable and pleasant stay which really felt like home from home to all of us. We would love to stay here again sometime in the future.

I stayed at Monte Rosa for three nights on a visit to the Habla Zig-Zag Kiln in Rawsonville, East Cape. It was a most enjoyable stay and Laura and Rolf (our hosts) created a most gemutlich (warm and comfortable) ambiance. The breakfasts were terrific and our final night dinner was a match of wonderful cuisine and conversation. The rooms were... More

Nice colonial style house with a big, fine porch. Very nice welcome from the owners, with good wine and a very tastfull breakfast with extra's from their own garden, which is a beautifull garden by the way.

Monte Rosa Guest House is situated in lush, beautiful gardens. I only stayed for 2 nights but the surrounding suburb was quiet, the owners friendly and engaging and the bed comfortable. They served delicious breakfast. I can really recommend them. The bathroom I had did not have a shower though, and strangely enough they provided everything except a cake of... More

Really enjoyed the tranquility & hospitality of owners... Beautiful setting with well travelled & informed owners. Felt safe in this remote area - slept well in the quiet setting... Food was tasteful & well prepared. Enjoyed the port & beers 👍🏼

Very good guesthouse in the heart of Rawsonville - old farmhouse style and good historic feel. Close to all surrounding farms and a good base from where to explore the local wine region. Good breakfast, friendly service and easy going. Safe and secure. Some rooms are better equipped than others though. Would have liked a shower - room only had... More

I visited the Worcester area on business and stayed at Monte Rosa for three nights. The house and gardens are special and it was wonderful to spend time relaxing after a full day. Lots of birds and Eagle Owl outside my bedroom. Breakfast great

We were attending a wedding in Rawsonville this past weekend and on recommendation booked into the Monte Rosa. I am so glad for that recommendation. The accommodation is old world beautiful, with every modern luxury you could wish for. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and restful. The added joy of awesome water pressure in the shower just made it for... More

Our third stay at Monte Rosa, and the property is still as beautiful as it was all the years ago when we first stayed there. We were in Rawsonville for a wedding this weekend, and managed to book our accommodation in April before everyone else booked the place out. An exquisite Magnolia Tree is the centre piece of the back... More
