Forest Bungalows has a great ambiance, very calm, peaceful and quiet, which ensured some excellent sleep. The property is a short walk from the fitness street and very convenient for training, the local shops and restaurants.

The staff that work at Forest Bungalows and Mama’s restaurant are very nice, friendly and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. I also ate at Mama’s. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Overall, I felt very welcome and safe. I can definitely recommend Forest Bungalows and will return.

Forest Bungalows is a really decent place to stay in Chalong. The restaurant is great, serving all cuisines at very good prices. I stayed in a bungalow and found the room great. Big comfy double bed, NetSuite, tv, and fridge. Also cupboard for clothes and a portch to sit on. The rooms are very very clean, no issues at all. The staff are very friendly. There is a good swimming pool to relax in and an on site massure giving Thai massage for 200 baht. I cannot praise this place enough. really easy walking distance to all the training gyms in Chalong.

I'm here for 1 month. Coming to the end of my training 'holiday' now. Forest Bungalow is a perfect place to stay if you have training in mind. Rooms cleaned twice per week, Mama has been super helpful with anything I've needed. I stayed in Bungalow F7. I also spent 4 nights in the luxury apartment aswell, bigger room, small kitchen and cable TV. The bungalow has served its purpose perfectly, a/c is 100% etc.
Forest Bungalow is tucked away of a side street on the main strip so it's very quiet if you want to get away from the action on the strip. Cannot fault this place and I will be returning when I come back to train. Thank you Mama!

Value for money. Forest bungalow is a non expensive hotel in which what you pay is what you get. Rooms are big very spacious. Good air condition, cable tv. Something didn't like is that when you take your key all the outlets are turned off. So yo can't live you camera or cell phone charging. Another thing didn't like is that you have to ask for house keeping. If not your room is not cleaned and towels are not changed.
Service is spectacular and is near to gyms and fighting stadiums.
I will come back in training mode. This visit was just recognition of the area.

Stayed in forest bungalows as my partner had stayed here previously and liked it. We stayed in one the new luxury rooms as were staying in Chalong for 1 month. We got a deal which included the room and rental of a scooter.

Pros: daily cleaning, large room, great location to gyms/ restaurants etc set off the main road, majority of the staff are friendly enough.

Cons: Mama did not inform us that just after a few days of arriving the swimming pool was being renovated. Mama seemed to do the deal and then disappear.
They said it would take 7-10days but 3weeks on and it's still not been finished. I found this extremely disappointing as although we came here to train we wanted somewhere to relax by in-between training and on rest days. After all this was our vacation. There was no where to sit and relax and to enjoy the weather. We payed more money than we intended too to stay here so it was very frustrating having to pay extra to use other hotels swimming pools. I would of preferred her to notify us of the renovation before we payed upfront for a month.

The restaurant is over priced in comparison to other places on the street.

Our room had a glass door into the bathroom, which is fine if your on your own but not when your travelling as a couple! Mama you need to get a blind! Also we had to buy our own mosquito prevention as because of the outdoor bathroom we had lots visiting us and got bitten often. The hot water tripped daily in our room too.

Overall you could get more for your money else where on the street. I wouldn't stay here again based on Mama not informing us about the pool.

I stayed at a bungalow F9 near local people house. It was noisy in the evening, because children playing football behind a bungalow. Other time was really quiet. A bungalow was really nice, cable TV, fridge, air con, hot shower, free wifi too. I asked for a kettle and DVD player, she gave me with 200 baht and 500 baht deposit. A food at their restaurant is the best. I were full with only 45 thb for Thai food dish with rice. Mama really took great care of me, all staffs were really nice and friendly. They don't understand english that well (except Mama, some guys and girls at restaurant), but I didn't have any problems communicate with them.

Mamas Forest Bungalows is a excellent place to stay, a must if you are visiting the area. The restaurant is one of the best places to eat on the whole street and surrounding area. The accommodation always exceeded my expectations. But what stands out the most is the service. It was so personal, they went out of their way to make you happy. For example the air con was not working to well in my room and they had it replaced with a new unit that same day while I was out. Amazing. The rooms where clean with massive beds, cold air con, fridge, tv, room safe and DVD player. The swimming pool was a great place to relax and was always clean. Forest Bungalows was waking distance from the Muay Thai training gyms and was an absolutely warm and positive experience to stay there. Would recommend anyone to stay there. I know I will be back there next time I visit!

I stayed in a standard room for 5wks. The room was cleaned twice a week which was sufficient. The price for the room for the 5wks was the cheapest I could find on the Soi. The staff who tended to the grounds greeted me every morning with a smile & a “sawdaee ka”. Anything I requested from reception would immediately be looked after. I asked for a free standing fan as the air con was giving me a sore throat. I went out for the day & when I came back there was a brand new fan in my room. I actually broke said fan & again that day it was replaced for me. I offered to pay for the fan on check out as I had broken it & it was a reasonable sum. The lady Ta at reception was so lovely to me, she also organised my trip to Phi Phi. The wait for my laundry that I left in was a few days so I didn’t leave it in there again. There are lots of places on the Soi that do same day laundry. The lil doggo ‘Tanwa’ in the pic became my best pal for the 5wks. I went from being a non dog lover to completely falling in love with her. She waited at the top of the lane every night to walk me home. The food in the restaurant was lovely, I did get food poising one of the days from eating there but sure it’s Thailand & that can happen anywhere! I would definitely be back to stay here again.

I trained at Titans for 6 weeks and initially booked to stay at Little Hill Resort which was a big mistake, that place is not worth a brass razzoo. I changed to Forest Bungalow and absolutely loved it. The hospitality from Mama and her staff was second to none. The restaurant food is awesome as is the coffee and health snacks. I had a deluxe bungalow with the living jungle in the bathroom which really was a highlight and creates such a beautiful little tropical paradise of your own.Great location only 5 minute walk to Soi Ti-ed and about 8 minute walk to Titans.Nice pool also at Forest Bungalow. Thanks Mama and staff.

Been to Chalong to train 2 years now and always stayed at Forrest bungalows next to the Tea House accomodation. Upon contacting her for a accomodation over Facebook I was told I was staying at Family bungalows who from last experience are very helpful and lovely genuine people. As I arrived I found out I was not staying at the Family bungalows at all.... this lady who could hardly speak English lead me to my room. Every night she would creep around looking through my blinds and when I had the light on she would come knocking on the door... due to a medical condition that is not in my control I constantly needed to go to the clinics and hospitals to seek help from the doctors. Until I was fit to fly home. When I was ill she wouldn't understand and call an ambulance which was totally unnecessary. I suggest no one to consider staying with her, she was arrogant didn't understand a thing and all she wanted was money for everything. So I left finally. She was a genuine nut case. Glad to be gone
