This is about the 10th time we have eaten in MacNean and in every occasion is has been amazing and is a total "Meal Experience " This time we went for the tasting menu and everything we ordered had three different versions of it on the plate like Beef, it came with three different cuts and each one has unbelievable... My wife and I visited Macnean house this past Saturday night for an evening meal and we were blown away. The food , service and dining room were top notch. When you pay €85 a head for 8 course prestige menu (€130 if you want to include a wine selection) you expect to be impressed but we came away thinking... More

Everything that's on offer is top class. Wine, dinner, staff, accommodation and breakfast. All staff where so friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Both dinner and breakfast where delicious. Loved the toasted seeds on the yogurt in the morning. Thank you for a fabulous time.

Lovely night away at MacNean House and Restaurant. Wonderful food and faultless service. Great fun in the bar , beautiful room and a fab breakfast to finish off. Well worth the year wait ! Lovely local scenery to visit on way home. Looking forward to a return trip.

As a birthday treat I was brought for overnight and meal at MacNean house restaurant. From the arrival to the reluctant departure it was exceptional. The pre dinner drinks woke the appetite for the prestige menu with wine. In hindsight I should not have had the margarita to start. Each dish was tenderly and artistically presented. As I tasted the... More

Phenomenal dining experience. Every aspect of the meal was delicious and exciting. Why does this restaurant not have a Michelin Star? It beats all other Irish restaurants hands down. Incredible food and incredible service. This place has blown our minds. Now I understand the waiting list!! Genuinely sad that I have to wait so long to eat here again. Nicest... More

A lovely restaurant but the food just wasn't for us. Much too rich on the whole. We began our meal at 9pm and we're finishing off at close to midnight which was far too late. It was also much too expensive. Still it was an experience but to be frank, I'm glad it was a gift voucher I was using.

Service from each staff was impeccable - courteous, friendly and professional. The food is amazing - every morsel was delicately and perfectly balanced. Each dish was described by waiters in case we forgot what we ordered. Dining room was beautifully and luxurious, yet warm and comfortable with a very relaxed atmosphere. The bar area was again comfortable, impeccable service. A... More

Dude. I live in San Francisco, one of the worlds most Epicurus places on earth. I can get a great meal walking 1/2 block down from my front door. Ireland is absolutely NOT known for its food. (It should be, some of the best quality food comes from the small island) I dread eating in Ireland the land of butter... More
