Spent two nights here during a cycling holiday and was bowled over by the place - particularly the superb service from host Mark who went the extra mile to welcome us, and make us comfortable. We had a magnificent room at the front of the building.

This boutique hotel is a true home for travelers. The owners Mark and Allison go over and above to make sure you are welcome. They kept us posted on the train schedules and drove to Auxere to pick us up when our train was cancelled. They made sure our return train was running and again drove us to the train...

We have stayed with Mark and Alison 4 times now and each time we have been warmly welcomed and feel very much at home. They take the time to ensure you have everything you need and will answer endless queries with patience and amazing local knowledge. Very restful place in huge old house. Mark and Alison were effortlessly hospitable. Very interesting area. We extended our stay to four nights. Very fine restaurant a pleasurable canal walk away to La Fontaine in Accolay. Much closer is an Auberge run by a vey efficient Annie supported by Claude who provide good quality Burgundian food. Highly recommended.

This was by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Room was large and airy, the bathroom immense with all the necessities, the continental breakfasts tasty and more than sufficient. The hosts, Mark and Allison, were so welcoming, helpful and generous with their knowledge and with local maps, even once driving us to a nearby attraction as well...

We had the same room that Martin G wrote about -- large, gracious, with an immense and gorgeous bathroom. It was totally quiet at night, and very restful. And we cannot say enough about Alison, who was welcoming and hugely helpful (Mark was away for work). All in all, it's a wonderful place.

This B&B has been run by a welcoming British couple for 7 years and is a nice respite if you are travelling around. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the bedrooms but there is also a little kitchen area where guests are welcome to make a picnic lunch etc. Our room was very large and the bathroom even...

Superb, friendly, and relaxed stay. Mark and Alison are great hosts and this really does feel like staying with friends. The bedrooms are all different but well appointed...ours had a huge bed and the biggest bathroom ever with a roll top bath and separate shower. Breakfast is French Continental with additional fresh fruit, yogurts and home made jam and honey....

Don't be fooled by the modest exterior, this is a great B&B. We arrived soaking wet after cycling in the rain for most of the day and got a very warm welcome from Mark and Alison. We had the biggest room and bathroom I think we have ever stayed in on a French holiday, complete with freestanding bath and 6ft...
