Was here for week in tent with wife and 6yo. Undoubtably it is a fabulous site. Big pitches. The swimming pools were terrific, and the perfect temperature - quite crowded but always seemed to be space. There is a huge amount to do (archery, zip wires etc) some of which is

Stay for the last two weeks: On the last week the Shop was empty, the toilets weren't cleaned, half the shower block was closed. The pool area kids were jumping off a 6ft tall bridge into the water, and the lifeguard (if they were there) did nothing. The showers were always

A well equipped campsite with lots of activities on offer. The lake looked murky but lots of people fished on it. The indoor swimming pool had a lovely view. The shop was almost empty but they were closing the day after we left. Fresh croissants, pain chocolat and pain au raisin

Im not sure I quite understand ur question, cause there is the camping site and there is the Loire-valley. The campsite is great to hang out in for a couple of days, then move on. Personally I wouldn't have used the campsite as a base of exploring Loire valley on bike. It's just not "central" enough, it's like 30 km to Loire-river and Tours(which is a city I personally don't find really interesting..) I recommend to stay there a few days, then rent bikes in a different area of Loire valley. But again, I haven't biked around in that spesific part of the valley.

"Actually a pitch - this was sloping and gravelly meaning that putting tent pegs in was difficult."
