We stayed for week and we had an excellent time . The rooms are very comfortable and have all the amenities. The parking is free and covered . The best for the hotel is the personnel and the restaurant. It’s a family business and that’s why they keep a high level . Many thanks to Ivan and Lara for the warm atmosphere. And their father who organizes everything. The food is very very good and every day there is something new , always very tasty and with a great presentation. Thanks guys for the good time we had

We were unhappily surprised at the moment we checked in. We booked two rooms next to one another, and what we got was one room on the first floor and the second room -for our kids- on the fourth floor. The owner explained us that he had made an unfortunate error while selecting our rooms on his computer. Then we found out that our choice does not exist in the entire hotel, because the two different roomtypes we booked are not available on the same floor. This so called 'error' was more a deliberate action and, in our opinion, this should not happen in a four star hotel. Yes the food was fine, so was the pool and the driver of the van was very kind and taking good care of everybody. We think there are much better choices of nice hotels for this amount of money. You might ask yourself why did we stay? Well there was no alternative in the area.

God morning dear family Nijoff, thank you for your review! We can confirm that the type of rooms you choosed/reserved are available on the same floor (4th floor). I can tell you that this was not a deliberate action, but an error and we are sorry for that. We are glad that you enjoied the fine food, the wellness area and appreciate the service of our shuttle driver which takes care, as you say, for everybody. You had a very nice and sunny stay in Alta Badia and we are shure you will also havee some nice memories of our holidays. Sunny regards from Alta Badia. Fam. Craffonara

We spent one week in july for the dolomites marathon and it was our third time at Ciasa Lara. Our Room was fantastic. We had great food and we also spent relaxing time at the Spa. We really felt at home. Mr Walter, his wife and the entire hotel staff are very kind and they all took care of us. Grazie!

What a lovely, family run hotel! We stayed here for 8 nights for a skiing holiday with family, I could not pick fault with anything. The hotel staff are fabulous with nothing too much trouble; the food is sublime and plentiful; rooms are spotless and comfortable; spa facilities gorgeous and Walter and family are wonderful! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, in fact we will be definitely returning next year!

Really nice hotel and perfect food! We stayed here for 10 nights and it was great experience. It takes 5-7 minutes to get the cable car by foot or you can use hotel's transfer. Rooms are new and clean. Also we had very beautiful window view!

Ciasa Lara is a gem of a hotel. Having stayed here last January as well I was equally delighted in summer. The Craffonara family provide the warmest of welcomes, a personal touch, and ensure that their guests have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Every aspect of the hotel is at the highest standard and the attention to detail does not go unnoticed. The rooms and common areas are beautifully appointed, the spa facilities are excellent, and the quality of the meals is superb. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to visit often.

The family run hotel exudes warmth and good taste. Rosa and Walter are serious hotel people who understand the importance of guests looking for a memorable holiday. The pride and care that Rosa shows and the warmth and interest that Walter shows always adds to a beautiful week in Alta Badia. The food is beautifully served and there is a wide variety to choose from each evening. The wine menu is also extensive. The hotel has it all!!

Ciasa Lara is a 4 star hotel in La Villa / Alda Badia / South Tyrol in Italy. Excellent ski area just a few steps away. This family led hotel was renewed in 2007 and provides excellent service for skiers in winter and bikers in summer. If you book half pension you will get a 5 course menu for dinner - just excellent food! Wines from the Region are recommened by the owner - was always a good recommendation. There is a Spa available with a swimming pool, a whirl pool, 2 saunas and a steam bath. Rooms are modern with a touch of tradition. We enjoyed it a lot, although a bit pricy.

As an Innkeeper myself, I am rather hard to please. We spent a wonderful week here with family and friends. The rooms are lovely and crisp like the mountain air. The entire staff are so warm as well as capable of meeting all of one's needs. The food is outstanding with so many choices all prepared superbly and served elegantly.I hope we will have another opportunity to return.

"Ciasa Lara" is a new issue in the Alta Badia scenario. Not necessarily that heart warming, but concrete and value for money. Here and there some details are about the proper limits of a family-run business, but nothing that annoying. They'll fix it. Rooms are austere but comfortable, food is more on substance than appearance (but we love substance and great raw materials as we got there), the whole experience is plain and calibrated between reasonable expectations and making it available for what you pay. Laura is the absolutely perfect waiter (hugs, Dear), so nice and helpful. No fitness room available (for the lovers of the kind, as I am, that's a little shame, but I managed it anyway). The owner is a generous, chatty and (very) proud man, he does a relevant job. Check this as pricing gets arranged mindfully by the hotels in the area; it can be a valuable choice.
