Our first stop in Taiwan, we arrived late night, the staff was helpful and arranged the top floor room for us. The room is old fashion but tidy and clean. The bed size is acceptable and it is comfortable. The thing made us happy was the staff lent us the bicycles even after we checked out the hotel! We rode to the well know 'Love River' in Kaohsiung, What a lovely ride! unforgettably quiet and peaceful. That was some of the best moments in Taiwan.
This hotel was so nice I stayed an extra night instead of moving on from Kaohsiung on my vacation. It's got old-school quality in a neighborhood setting but just a 5 minute walk from the Aozihdi (凹子底) subway station. Unfortunately the first thing you notice is a short stairway down from the street to hoist your luggage, but then the entrance is sweet with a small patio outside and a nice moderately-sized lobby inside. Free wifi is adequate but not speedy. Free breakfast was good. Bonus: the hotel has a couple of bicycles available free. I liked the neighborhood with a large market nearby and night market not too far. Rooms are spacious and nicely equipped with an old-fashioned feel of quality varnished wood everywhere, but the bed is a bit smaller than average. Flat screen TV had a spectacular assortment of cable channels. In-room fridge. Don't look for luxury hotel extras like a pool, meeting rooms, room service, or a fitness center, but you won't pay the high price for those things you might not use, either.…
