My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Via Hotel Taipei Station. The hotel is really conveniently located, and we used it as a base to walk to lots of the main sites and the ximending area. The room was spotlessly clean, and comes with a little neck massager as part of the room. They have lots of free snacks available 24/7, and as others have written, they have a soft-serve ice cream machine available as well. We also enjoyed the 2 big massage chairs in the basement game room area. We also appreciated the pocket wifi that was available for rental from the front desk at a very reasonable rate. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to return in the future.

Yes this hotel is more in the budget line and the rooms are tiny. However, the service is so welcoming and they try really hard to make your stay comfortable.

We stayed a night before beginning our Taiwan travels and the hotel is very convenient to the train station and we enjoyed walking out and eating at the nearby market.

Although the room was small it was spotless and they provide all kinds of comfort and toiletry supplies. The free snacks were appreciated and more than enough for a small breakfast before getting on the HSR.

It was fun to have an ice cream cone after our long flight.

The hotel staff seem to really care about their guests and were interested in our reasons for visiting.

For long stays if you are not going to be in your room much and don't need a lot of space or an on site restaurant/room service this is an ideal hotel especially for the reasonable price.

We enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel in the centre of Taipei. 15 minutes walk to Taipei main train station, or 5 minute walk to red line train station. And 10 minute walk to popular Ximen district.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful with perfect English, that helped with a few questions I had.

As per other reviews, the hotel offers unlimited snacks and drinks, which were very handy and saved on a few dollars buying at the nearby 7 Eleven. I used the washing machine & dryer, which comes with free laundry powder, making my 3 night stay just that bit better too.

The room was clean and offered comfortable bed & pillows to sleep on. It was small yet there was enough room.

The hotel is meant to be budget, however staying over the New Year period the cost wasn’t within budget value, I guess that is expected for the city at that time.

Highly recommend Via Hotel and would definitely stay again if I’m ever in Taipei.

This is a non smoking hotel however the room that I was given has a very strong cigarette smell. Peeps, if you want to smoke, go outside and do not make the room smelly and dirty and spoil the hotel reputation!!
Immediately informed hotel staff of the pungent cigarette smell and asked for a room replacement. Unfortunately they were fully booked on the 1st night but thank god they were able to change the room for me the next day. Hotel staff tried to get rid of the smell by spraying some room fragrance but it didn't help.
Bed is comfortable but pillow is soft. Hotel staff is very friendly. After they changed the room, they gave me a bigger room as well really appreciate their good gesture! There is a pantry at level 1 and has free snack and drinks. You can do your own laundry in the hotel too! It's around 10 mins walk from hotel to Ximending!

Enjoyed the hotel stay tremendously. Centrally located to many MRT stations, not just the Taipei Train Station. Loved the self-service refreshments room and the laundry room facilities. Staff does an excellent job keeping the rooms and the common areas clean.

Loved the nicely designed, space efficient bathroom. Got to give a thumbs up for the heated toilet seat!!!

This is a first world/developed world problem (and not a complaint): the laundry room is located on the top floor that is accessible only by taking the stairs from the floor below. The steps are rather steep and could pose as a safety hazard if one was not careful coming down.

Small but spotless and well- appointed room, everything you need for a comfortable, satisfying stay. The staff from the housekeeping team to the front of house were all faultless and wonderful and super helpful; warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel. It is amazingly positioned just blocks away from Taipei Main Station so amazingly convenient to get to sites. Quirky local Taiwanese snacks, coffee machine and ice cream machine in the dining room always available. Over all a very happy experience at a truly affordable price.

Stayed for 2 nights in July.

Although the Room is compact, it is highly functional and cozy. There's enough space to open up 2 luggage.

Best part is the free Taiwanese snacks, instant noodles, pudding, ice cream!!, coffee/tea. It is at the lobby pantry and you just help yourself. There is comfortable seating and a large TV to watch while you relax and have your snack. Very thoughtful of the hotel.

Getting there from the Taipei Main Station after you arrive from the airport. Avoid Z10 or Z9 exit from the Taipei main station (HSR from Taoyuan) because you will have to climb 5 flights of staircase lugging your baggage. I exited from Exit #4 (not M, Y or Z!) after arriving via HSR. Just look for the Exit 4 signage. You will end up taking an escalator to the ground level. Exit the station, turn right and will walk towards the traffic lights. That will be the Chongqing S Road that leads straight to the hotel. It's about 5-8mins walking.

Positives:
Clean room.
Comfortable bed.
AC works well.
In room coffee and kettle.
Good location about a ten minute walk from the main station.
Friendly staff.
Highlight is the free drinks and snacks area which is open 24/7. They have water, coffee machine and snacks. The ice cream is really good, mix it with a shot of espresso!

Negatives:
Small safe in room, doesn’t fit laptop.
Room is a little small, but adequate.
Only two pillows.
Sink is separate from bathroom.
Walls are thin, can hear neighbors talking.

Dear Bykaraanne, the standard has no window while the deluxe has window and more space.

Hi, the hotel does provide baby cot with no charge. The delux double room should be okay for 2 adults and a baby. Please mention you'll need a baby cot by emailing in advance then they can arrange room for you.
