My friend and I had a fantastic staycation at the Grand Hyatt Taipei last Christmas. It is in a great location for exploring the Taipei Xinyi District, within walking distance of the Taipei 101 Shopping Mall, many restaurants and shops. The Metro Taipei 101 station is close to the hotel, just walking to 3 minutes. After check-in, we headed up to the Grand Cheers tasted afternoon tea sets with complimentary. The atmosphere in the Grand Cheers is classy and vibrant. Early evening about 5:30pm, we access to the Grand Club Lounge on the 22nd floor enjoyed evening cocktails(happy hour) and enjoy breathtaking view of the Taipei 101 landmark. Amazing view and very relaxing to sit and watch the sun go down and Taipei light up! Having access to the Grand Club Lounge is really really great. The Grand Club Lounge gets very busy during the happy hour with complimentary food as it’s best and there are so many drinks and desserts. We enjoyed the Grand Club Lounge experience very well. The service and attentiveness is exceptional. The Grand Club Lounge quality of food and beverage and alcoholic drinks was excellent. We have had an enjoyable happy hour with the nice ambience, the concierge staff were polite and had an elegant smile, was observant and I was impressed. All in all a wonderful stay with safety and care at the forefront of Grand Hyatt Taipei mind. The breakfast buffet at the Grand Café was wonderful with plenty of freshly baked breads, and both Western and Asian cooked breakfast foods. We also tasted favorite dessert and variety international dishes. The Grand Café is very large and there are a lot of guests. In the hot food area that is cooked to order, there is a long queue. The Grand Café is highly recommended, one of the best quality buffet in Taipei. The Grand Hyatt Taipei in every occasion, suitable for solo, lover, and family. I obtained extra request even on crowded holiday: early check-in and late check-out. To be frankly, room was well kept but design is a little bit dated. But in the others viewpoint, it’s definitely a classic. The bed was so comfortable and inviting and the blackout curtains so effective with interesting. Rooms and bathroom were clean and tidy, we loved the rooms and the shower pressure was amazing! It’s been a lovely greatly Christmastaycation.…
The service was great, the staff was friendly and the stay was relaxing. We love the swimming pool, spa and the fitness center. The location is right in center of the downtown Taipei, Xinyi district. I will definitely highly recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a nice hotel to stay in Taipei.
The pool area is big and you can order drinks. The pool is temperature controlled. Because we visit Hyatt in spring break, there are many people stay in the hotel, too. So the breakfast had too much people, and we are only allow to eat for 60 mins, which feel rushed. We can also use the 22nd floor's cocktail hour, however is also had time limited and food is fast run out). It is a very good hotel, the room is clean, the house keeper check our room maybe 3-4 times a day. The location is very convenient next to Taipei 101. It is just a bit difficult to find a 7-11 around.
My kudos go to Leah during check-in and Andy at checkout. Both were extremely pleasant genuine in their conversation of welcoming me, and offered excellent service. I hope I can see them again on my next visit. Sadly, due to the national holiday, the crowds for breakfast were unbelievable. I had breakfast included in room rate, but 30 minute wait at three restaurants was too much. I don’t blame staff or hotel, just a holiday weekend and others should consider that. Still, a great stay!!!
Highly recommend folks to choose Grant Hyatt Taipei for staycation. Nice room and breakfast is awesome. I also want to thank you Jamie, Gordon and William’s well serving. Hope to visit you guys again soon.
