We enjoyed the 3 nights we spent at the Indigo in July 2019. Its location is very good, right at a metro stop in a good neighborhood. The room was comfortable, with a good bathroom and good wifi. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good. Throughout the hotel, there are nice little touches that make the place unique, such as kind notes from housekeeping, squeeze-your-own juicers in the restaurant, and serve-yourself ice cream at meals. We got the room rate that included both breakfast and dinner, and were very satisfied with it. Overall, the hotel is very good and provides good value for money.

We enjoyed our three day stay for tourism in Taiwan’s second city. Indigo is not a chain we’ve enjoyed before, and we were very pleased by the service and value at this very solid four-star hotel. The front desk, bar and restaurant staff were young, friendly, service-focused, and helpful, in keeping with the brand’s “affordable hip” image. We had a problem with the emergency light in our room going on at 0450 the first night of our stay: the team had it attended to promptly when engineering arrived and sent an amenity up to make amends. Our room was large and comfortable, with a firm bed, unusual and fun localized decor, and floor-to-ceiling windows with a view over the city. The bathroom was huge, with a rainforest shower and lounging tub “room” and good soaps and amenities. WiFi and cable worked flawlessly. Lighting controls were confusing and took some getting used to. There was a city guide in our room, which was helpful during our exploration of the city. The welcome drink at the rooftop bar gave us a great view over the city as the sun set. Hotel restaurant “Wok on the Park” had a good buffet breakfast with Asian and western choices and made-to-order eggs, along with Asian specialities that could be ordered. You could squeeze your own orange or grapefruit juice. Two nights there was a singer and accompanist who sang English and Chinese songs. We reserved the good value breakfast plus NT1200/night restaurant credit offer. The dinner “semi-buffet” offered a choice of main course, to supplement the soup, salads, Chinese noodles, cheeses and desserts and the included open bar of soft drinks and gin, tequila, rum (beer was not included) so we spent just an extra US$8-15 equivalent each evening on dinner. Avoid the shrimp, which were tasty but a lot of work. The chicken, pork, salmon, and duck confit main courses were all good choices. The hotel is just 50m from the Central Park KMRT station, which makes it very convenient from the HSR and airport.

At his hotel for 2 nights for work. first impression was it was very new and clean. it was also very cutting edge and funky. i really enjoyed it. check in was easy and quick. downstairs had a small bar and cafe. the room was large with a large bathroom as well.....the shower is all clear windows and you can see right across the city !!! The entire room is floor to ceiling windows, so any view you get is worth it. i had a half park view and half city view. the rooftop has a bar which was quite nice and had good views on some sides. it was not cheap but worth it for a drink or two. The hotel is in the uni area, so younger crowds in the bars and restaurants. but a great place to stay.

Returning back to the Hotel on business as I quite like the location which is convenient. I checked in quite late which was past 5pm and I was assigned to a room that I think the setup was horrible. It seems to be a nice corner room with 90 degrees ceiling to door windows seeing street view. However, the shield they use was just a veil which means if you don’t put the black out curtain on, everyone on the street can see the whole view of your room like living in there! I was quite shocked since you must close the black out curtain but ended up the rooms means you have no natural daylight! At least they managed to change my room with a twin bedded which was much more acceptable. Just that they had made their toilet interesting. The toilet door opened onwards but... when you open it, it covered the toilet which you need to be in good shape or you can’t squeeze yourself in to use the toilet. Breakfast standard seemed to be kept. Staff were helpful and nice but with the price I booked, it was a bit disappointing comparing to a year ago I stayed.

The hotel is just beside the KMRT exit 2. Since we were early, we left our luggage with the concierge and began to explore the city. We returned and checked in at about 4 pm on 5 June 2019 and pleased to know that the hotel has given us a free upgrade to a twin bed room. The staff is polite and has gone an extra mile to serve their guests. The room is clean and we love the style. As the IHL member, we were given 2 complimentary drinks at the rooftop bar. The sunset scene was simply amazing! We checked out the following day as we will return 2 days later after a short stay in Tainan. Back from Tainan, we were served by Glen Sun at the reception. He welcomed us back and when we requested for the twin room again, he kindly helped us to approach his management for approval. Once again, we were given a free upgrade to twin room for the next two nights! Thank you, Glen! We requested for late check out since our flight was quite late. Of course, this excellent hotel gave us a late check out! We love this hotel not only the ambience but also the polite and helpful staff, the nice rooftop scenery, the cleanliness of the rooms and its location. We strongly recommend to stay in this hotel when you are in Kaohsiung! Thank you Hotel Indigo Kaohsiung Central Park!
