This is not the first time I visited Taiwan, so I really just want a relaxing holiday without traveling too much, in fact I just 7 days in Taichung itself. I stayed 3 nights here and it did not disappoint! Bear in mind this is not a budget bnb. I chose it beacuse I like the loft unit which cater to my family. My 2 teenagers have the loft unit at the attic with 2 double beds for them. Ourselves at the first level with spacious room and a balcony, nice touches like bidet toilet with warm seats. They can be reached by messenger via facebook. The owner will serve you beautifully presented breakfast and will provide their best help possible. We arrived late on first day and they prepared a hot pot meal for us (at a below market price). Then on the last day, they bought us out for a local meals. Basically, you can depend on them for advise and have your own way as they will not impose anything on you. The owners' son also offered a free keychain making activity using recycled wood FOC and my two kids love it!

It is definitely a homestay worth to consider staying in. Spent a night there and host Justin was really friendly and warm welcoming. You can even email the homestay ahead of time to get proposals on what to do. The place is surrounded with greenery, so lovely and the room is very comfy and cosy. Breakfast is made on the spot by the hosts and the portion is just right. They made roselle tea as well. Definitely will consider staying back with Mu Tian Husan homestay if I go back to the area. Pretty simple to find the homestay if you self drive. Driving out to Taichung area is 20-30mins not too far as well. Highly recommend to go Gao Mei Beach to watch the sunset, roughly 40mins drive from the homestay.

mu tian is hosted by Justin and his lovely parents. The villa is nestled in a quiet little streets in xinshe close to many restuarants and fruit picking places. I chose xinshe as I wanted my kids to experience fruit picking and farm experience. They have many type of rooms ranging from family to couple. Most important of all, the family is extremely warm and helpful to us Singaporeans. It was our first time travelling to Taiwan with my 2 sons, elder mother and aunty. Justin provided many suggestions to us as I was worried with dining options for my kids as they were picky wth food. My family really enjoyed the trip as we went grape picking, mushroom picking. Took a 1.5 hour drive to Flying cow ranch in the first day. In th second day we were driven to lavender cottage, third day to carton King and the earth quake museum. All within a reasonable time. Especially with 2 screaming kids, the distance was manageable. This felt like the best ever Airbnb experience we had experienced. Breakfast was nutritious, rooms extremely clean. They even have such a beautiful garden with a goat and ducks to feed. The property is huge with an extended garden across the road where the children can run around and even play badminton. It's such a great family holiday and I will always remember the warm hospitality shown to our family. Never felt anythng like this as we are pretty well travelled and experienced many airbnb across the region. Highly recommended if you want serenity, fresh air, clean rooms and large garden to unwind and experience rural Taiwan.

One of my best B&B and vacation farm experience in Taiwan. Wanna immerse yourself in the most authentic Taiwanese hospitality? This is exactly the place to be. Relaxing environment, clean bedrooms, hearty food, and most importantly, friendly people. All the things you need for a great stay have been offered here. 親切、熱忱、誠懇、溫馨 ---- 台灣最棒的民宿體驗之一。環境優美,餐點豐盛,還有隨時提供的給房客的協助與意外的驚喜,民宿就該這樣經營,讚!

First of all, this is their website: http://www.mdss.com.tw/ and facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MuDianHsuan/reviews Our family was there during Nov 2014. Booking for this place for foreigners requires no deposit as the owners say that to do international funds transfer will incur additional costs for the customers! Best to give them a call or drop them an email to let them know how many in your group and your requirements. The owner is very keen to help personalise your accommodations to best suit your requirements and with the lowest budget. We booked 2 rooms for 3 adults and 2 kids, so they gave us 2 rooms above the dining area. Area was clean as was the rooms. The rooms were made up daily and clean towels and toiletries were also provided. There is also a laundry area for customers to use for free. Driving from Taichung took about 30-40 minutes. The place is located a little off the main road, but not that difficult to find. We were welcomed very warmly by the mum and her son, who also helped us with our luggages. The mum is also the chairwoman for the Taichung BnB association, so she is very knowledgeable and helpful as they are into promoting their area. On property, they have some very friendly dogs, goats and ducks. They also an eco garden opposite the property which is very nicely maintained by the father. Morning walks there is a great way to loosen up. Breakfast is buffet style and the fried mushrooms are heavenly as they are freshly plucked daily. The Xinshe (or Sinshe as they are renaming the area) area is under-rated. It has a huge yearly flower festival in Nov/Dec and the best street food stalls selling their stuff in this festival. Of course there are the beautiful flowers to go along. There's also street art, which is very secluded. The owner's son gladly took us on their buggy and showed us around town and these street arts drawn on building walls. This is also the home town of mushroom farms in Taiwan. So it's a must stop to visit these farms and have the kids pluck some mushrooms on their own. All in all, this is the most friendly BnB that we have stayed in during our stay in Taiwan and our kids loved it.
