This is a genuine review. We booked this hotel due to the positive reviews posted here but sadly they are not so true reviews. The male counter staff was super unfriendly, didn't even offer any assistance at all despite knowing I was unwell and just discharged from hospital. The room was pathetic, there is no place for you to place your luggage and stink. We decided to check out 1 hour later and look for alternative hotel in order not to ruin our holidays. The location is as convenient as mentioned at other posts. Overall, avoid staying at this hotel; such as unwelcoming counter staff, so run down hotel rooms. And need to climb a short flight of stairs to the lift car, so imagine with your heavy luggages. So, dont choose this hotel.
Complimentary airport transfer to hotel. Liked the friendly and attentive service by the receptionist staff especially Ryan. Convenient location - near to train station. Overall good value for money. Very recommended hotel.
we stayed there for 5 days, apart from free shuttle to HSR/ airport and friendly staff, i dont recommend it at all, old old building, we had someone next door smoking during the night, couldnt sleep at all, we compliant to the staff, no actions!!! so we tried to open the windows to get some good air, then flied in lots mosquitos!!! unpleasant stay!!!
Hi I stayed here for one night in January. Hotel's shuttle bus pick me up from airport at 11:30pm. Hotel Staff very friendly. Room not fancy (do not expect 5 stars hotel here, you didn't pay for it), clean. WiFi speed was good. In a morning I got my free breakfast from hotel and Hotel's shuttle bus took me to HSR. As a short term hotel I think this is a great option, you got free shoutle service (x2 airport and HSR) and breakfast for very good price. Thanks
Free pick up and drop to Airport, HSR - very convenient and helpful. Quality Breakfast at your Door and on time. Close to Market and Stations Friendly and useful reception members Free WiFi but week, needs improvement
We decided to stay at this hotel for the main reason is their free airport transfer due to we reached Taoyuan Airport at 11pm. So, the free transfer does help us a lot and the distance from airport to hotel only took us 20 mins. We made our transfer booking when we made the room reservation. And also transfer to high speed rail station at the next day. Free breakfast and free wifi provided. Front desk attendance gave us a menu to choose our breakfast and will be deliver to our room the next day morning. Not a big portion, more to like a light meal. Nearby some supper restaurant/ 7-11/family mart by walking distance.
The hotel is decent for one night stay as a budget hotel. Location wise it is easy to find restaurant and 24hr convenience stores within walking distance. We are satisfied with the airport pick up and free ride to train station.
In short: for what it offers and where it locates, this is a totally totally overpriced hotel. we booked the hotel due to the free shuttle to and from HSR and TPE airport. However it ended up that we had to pay $390NTD for taxi from HSR to the hotel and on top of that a peaceful evening was totally ruined by a rude and arrogant front desk receptionist. We will NEVER come back and do NOT recommend this hotel at all. This is what happened: the day before our arrival at the hotel I made a phone call to the hotel and wanting to find out how to arrange the pick up from the HSR station. I spoke with a guy for 4 minutes who turned out to be the same rude receptionist, he kept telling me to go to their website for the pick up schedule. I didn't understand why he wouldn't just tell me on the phone?? during our conversation I asked differently and he acted like a skipping record just kept telling me to go to their website for more information - as if their pick up schedule is very complicated and hard to explain on the phone. Okay, I was very confused but accepted. He also took our flight number and departure time. I hung up the phone and went to the website, I immediately had a second thought about this booking due to the seem-to-be broken website. Something is wrong with the website that it's not showing a complete page - the approximately 2-page-long information is only shown through a tiny window that allows you to read 4 lines at a time so you have to keep scrolling. Good thing that the pick up schedule is in fact not complicated at all, for afternoon they have 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5:30pm pick ups. So WHY WHY WHY he wouldn't just tell me on the phone!!!!???? Fine, the schedule is quite straight forward. Whatever. The next day we arrived at the HSR station at 3:38pm. Perfect for the 4pm pick up. The pick up shuttle did not show up at 4pm. I called the hotel at 4:02pm asked where is the shuttle. The same guy picked up the phone and told me that the pick up needs to be scheduled ahead of time. WHAT!? So why you didn't tell me on the phone?? He said unapologetically: "it says on our website." I was speechless. I couldn't believe what he said. He then told me the next pick up is at 5:30pm so we should take a local bus to come to town. This is ridiculous. Two of us have a total of 4 suitcases. Taking a public bus is out of question besides this bus doesn't even have a stop at the hotel. It only goes to the near by train station. I refused to do that. He said there is nothing he could do for us. And then he wanted our flight number and departure time again. I told him that we have already had this same conversation yesterday! And he wasn't very helpful either. Talking to him is simply useless. I feel that I didn't have time to speak to a jerk anymore besides I had to deal with my issue: getting to the hotel. I hung up the phone on him. Called a taxi and went to the hotel. It costed $390 NTD. The taxi driver was sympathetic and suggested that I should turn in the receipt and ask the hotel for reimbursement. When we finally get there. The lobby is gloomy. There was nobody to help us with our luggage. The receptionist did not acknowledge a word about this miscommunication. Nothing. No greeting, no help, no apologies, no nothing. We have never met any hotel receptionist so rude. We got our keys, made sure our 5am airport shuttle next morning is confirmed for real. We did not want to see him again ever. There are five or six steps before you get to the elevator. It's not wheelchair friendly at all. How is that okay for a hotel??? We did not understand this at all. The hotel cleaning lady who is a 5'3" little asian lady happened to be around and came to offer us help with our 2 23lb luggages and 2 carry-ons. The rude receptionist (5'11" - 6') saw the whole scene and did not move an inch. The room: this is like a $35/night motel. Small room with a small window that's facing a highway. Only enough room to walk around the bed. A double bed. Okay standard sheet(not cotton). Smell of smoke in the room. Old and torn arm chairs, old but clean bathroom however there is no shower curtain, no shampoo and no soap. The moment we walked in, we wanted to get out ASAP. Terrible experience. Do NOT recommend.…
I had to think about the location and type of place I'm in before providing them with a rating. This is after all 'not' North America. A few inconveniences, like having to climb a flight of stairs before even reaching the elevator. The wafting smell of urban Taiwan when I open the windows (this can't really be helped by the hotel) At first I was given a room with no windows, felt like I was in a box, after addressing this I was moved to a smaller room but it had a window. The frame of the sliding door to the bathroom was really high and I stubbed my toes on it a few times. There were some random stains on the chair and carpet (I steered clear of them) for the night I was there. My breakfast was wrong, however on time. the hotel tries very hard to be upscale, use of chic and modern design concepts is obvious and appreciated. Could use some outlets near the bed to plug in cell phones and such. Provided a kettle with tea and coffee as well as small bar fridge. Weird smell throughout the hallway, I'm going to assume because of location and other guests smoking in their rooms. Wifi was very hit-or-miss.…
About 20 minutes away from Taoyuan Airport, do not ever expect it is a walking distance from airport. The good thing is hotel provide airport shuttle service & breakfast. Still got room to improve on room cleanliness & bathroom cleanliness.
