We decided to stay at this hotel for the main reason is their free airport transfer due to we reached Taoyuan Airport at 11pm. So, the free transfer does help us a lot and the distance from airport to hotel only took us 20 mins. We made our transfer booking when we made the room reservation. And also transfer to high speed rail station at the next day.
Free breakfast and free wifi provided. Front desk attendance gave us a menu to choose our breakfast and will be deliver to our room the next day morning. Not a big portion, more to like a light meal.
Nearby some supper restaurant/ 7-11/family mart by walking distance.

The hotel is decent for one night stay as a budget hotel. Location wise it is easy to find restaurant and 24hr convenience stores within walking distance.We are satisfied with the airport pick up and free ride to train station.

Lucky news is a quirky hotel, but it is a great and inexpensive way to stay over in Taoyuan if you have an overnight layover. They have free shuttle pickup at the airport, and our room was clean and attractive. DOnt expect anything fancy, but for the price, it was great. Keep in mind that it is at least 30 minutes from the airport if there is no traffic.
Don't worry like I did. The hotel is legit and not seedy. We would stay there again.

This is a genuine review. We booked this hotel due to the positive reviews posted here but sadly they are not so true reviews. The male counter staff was super unfriendly, didn't even offer any assistance at all despite knowing I was unwell and just discharged from hospital. The room was pathetic, there is no place for you to place your luggage and stink. We decided to check out 1 hour later and look for alternative hotel in order not to ruin our holidays. The location is as convenient as mentioned at other posts. Overall, avoid staying at this hotel; such as unwelcoming counter staff, so run down hotel rooms. And need to climb a short flight of stairs to the lift car, so imagine with your heavy luggages. So, dont choose this hotel.

Nice room, quite good location. Short walk to the Train Station and shopping mall. Staffs go all the way out to help make our stay good, including helping us booking of taxis, advising us on our queries...
Very helpful staffs who help us search for and contact a hospital with children department when our baby fell badly sick during the trip, making sure it is open during the weekend. Remembered the lady on duty who tried to help me carry out the over sized luggages down the stairs during checkout when the rest of my family is still in hospital.
Cons: Lift is at 2nd Level, Need to carry up luggage up the short staircase.
Toilet door is translucent especially when water splashed on it! Please take note if you are going with a female friend.

Stayed 2 nites in May 23 > 25 in the last leg of our 2+ weeks F & E in Taiwan. Hotel was a short 10 minutes walk from Train Station via the underpass to the Rear of station. Check-in was quick. Staff was pleasant and friendly; also had airport transfer request (made during bookings 1 month earlier) at hand and made counter-check upon check-in. Room was of reasonable size with adequate supplies. Bed was comfortable. Easy access to city centre and attractions. Choices of local, Vietnamese (even Indonesian) family run eateries within 5 minutes walk from hotel. Breakfasts from menu of 4 choices, were delivered to room at requested time. Free transfer to the Airport, driver was also very friendly and pleasant.
Overall, Great value for the rate charged.
If you want to make a last minute shopping at Taipei, it's just a 40 minutes train ride at NT$42/- on the Local Train to Taipei Main Station.

I had the travel desk at Taiwan airport contact hotel to inquire about the shuttle service they offer. Hotel could not find my prepaid Orbiz reservation. They call back 10 minutes later
nad advise tey had found reservation but since Orbiz did not advise them of my arrival time
I was on my own to get to the hotel from the airport (21.00 taxi fare). I booked this hotel primarily because they offered free shuttle service. Service at hotel was good. Room and location so so. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on my way back through Taiwan. That hotel is #1 as far as I am concerned.

My wife and I booked this hotel because for some reason not many came up on our original Google search, in fact we only found it then on the Hotel Club website. I must say I was a bit apprehensive, particularly bearing in mind the price was pretty low....
However we were both very plesantly surprised. We booked a suite and we both really liked everything about it, apart from the breakfast. But to be honest I`ve never had a breakfast I`ve liked at any Chinese hotel, so that`s not really saying much anyway !
We had a bit of trouble finding it, partly because "the underpass" which you need to use (on the route from the train station, just West of it) has a flyover over the top of it as well, and that`s what is shown on the maps ! Ironically we discovered that the hotel will pick you up from the station anyway, as well as the airport which we`d just spent an hour travelling from on a bus !

we stayed there for 5 days, apart from free shuttle to HSR/ airport and friendly staff, i dont recommend it at all, old old building, we had someone next door smoking during the night, couldnt sleep at all, we compliant to the staff, no actions!!! so we tried to open the windows to get some good air, then flied in lots mosquitos!!! unpleasant stay!!!
