Stayed here two nights as part of a group. The hotel is showing some signs of wear and tear, but it's clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The free coffee, ice cream, popcorn buffet in the reception was a nice amenity. The breakfast was Asian style with few Western choices, but was tasty and there were lots of dishes to choose from. The location seemed good enough. Not too far from the city center. Right behind the hotel there was something that looked like an abandoned Japanese wooden house, which was kinda interesting to see.
This is a modern hotel with spacious rooms. To get natural light into the bathrooms, there is a large widow in the wall between the bedroom and bathroom... but fear not, there is a roller blind to make the bathroom private. The breakfast was very good.
Followed tour group to Taitung and stayed in this hotel for one night. Hotel is old and room smells mouldy. Still using room key to open door. Room is fairly big but bathroom is poorly designed. Shower area has no kerb so whole bathroom will be flooded if you choose to use the shower. In the end I had to shower standing in the bath tub which may risk falling down! Did not use the so-called Spa as this hotel is filled with tourists from Mainland. Will not recommend this hotel. There's a nicer hotel next door called Century Hotel. Looks more classy and new.
Well what a great hotel they are only getting better here in Taiwan it has free Wi Fi ,large rooms, plenty of room for your baggage, great shower, close to shops, it has a very nice restaurant in the complex, beds are comfortable and in the foyer there is free Coffee, tea and ice cream.
Given this hotel was built in 2014, the interior of the room was poor. Wall paper already peeled off. Shower curtain was molded. Lots of details were not being care for in the regular basis. The staff were friendly. Breakfast is okay, not great, but decent. Western options are very limited.
