This is in a great location, within a 10 minute walk to the Night Market and close to many shops and restaurants. The room is large, including the bathroom. Noise was an issue. We happened to stay while a tourist bus of elderly and wheelchair bound folk arrived, tying up the elevator for much of the evening, and when they made it up to their rooms they talked loudly in the halls and in their rooms. We also were inhaling second hand smoke the whole time we were in our room except between midnight to 6 am when probably the smoker sharing our ventilation system was sleeping. The bathroom floor was quite wet when we arrived, hopefully just from cleaning. We mopped it with a fresh towel. There is no shower curtain. The room is worn out, with ancient fridge and furniture and a hard bed which felt like we were sleeping on a box spring which caused us to toss and turn all night. There are no electrical outlets near the bed, only near the desk and chair side. The window was big but flimsy and we had a view of dirty low lying buildings as we were on the third floor. We did not mind using the stairs since we were on a low floor but with big suitcases this might be an issue if you find yourself sharing elevators with wheelchair bound tour groups. Overall, we would have been better off in a place with softer beds.…
One night stay here before going to Green Island. Close to night market and convenience stores. Spacious room with big hard bed. I think its standard in Taiwan. Good selection for breakfast. Hot and cold water in corridors
The best thing about the hotel was location (in downtown and near everything). If you are from N. America or Europe, the breakfast was...underwhelming. Meal choices were not good, and the jelly for toast tasted stale. Room is so-so, about what I would expect for the price. Shower-only, no bath. Extremely noisy bathroom fan. Hotel appears dated, and could use a major update.
Nothing Balinese about this place. I think there's one suite per floor next to the lifts. The room looks out to the car park. Rooms are simple, "rustic" but clean. There's a coin operated laundry in a room next to an old spin bike and a threadmill from the 90s (that's probably their gym). Simple breakfast. Good WiFi.
It exceeded our expectation for the price we paid, we booked online thru booking.com for a twin sharing room, but was surprised to see our room with 2 king-size bed. The room is spacious and soundproof with clean beddings and towels. Although the only negative comment is the dining area has some flies landing on the veggies and fruits, and the staff are ignoring it and not doing something to get rid of it. The hotel is accessible to the restaurants,,shopping and night market is just a 30 mins walk away. And it has free wifi.
