Room is clean. It is just next to Tie Hua village, I basically visited there every day during my stay. Right next to bus station so it's convenient to stay in this hotel. The buffet breakfast is nice and tastes like home dishes. But, the room is not soundproof. I heard dog barks every midnight.
Traveller Inn is located just in front of the old railway station and the current bus terminal. So, the location is impeccable. I took a bed in a dormitory. Cheap. It was however clean. The pity is that there was no wifi in the room. (In the lobby Wi-Fi was available.)
Just cancelled our booking with this hotel as we experienced unhelpful customer service from the hotel staff. We reached out to the hotel via FB, we asked about the booking of train from taitung to taipei - if the hotel could help with the booking and if the hotel could suggest any agency to help us. Basically the responses we received were - nothing much the hotel can help about and short without further suggestion. They are not even trying to help! Furthermore, our conversation was entirely in chinese.
Great place to stay, get to breakfast early many dishes dont have warming bain maries, high seed internet, cable TV, reception ok young staff helpful the older were not, gets a lot of mainland Chinese so can get nosy at times.
Next to the bus station and Tiehua culture street, the location can't be beat. It is only a 5-minute walk to the Zhengqi Street night market, with a KFC across the street and MOS Burger a block away for familiar chain store foods. Although the room is on the small side, it has all the necessary amenities, including a comfortable bed and cleanliness throughout. The bathroom is a bit odd with the wash basin integrated with the shower, although the size is decent. Breakfast is in the basement and has a decent offering of hot dishes, while at other times of the day, you can get basic drinks in the waiting room next to the lobby. The hotel includes free fare on the local bus company bound for the airport/train station/ferry terminal, with a schedule posted next to the elevator. The frequencies are sporadic so you may need to rely on the regular bus service next door instead.…
