My family and I and my husband had a wonderful time at Mandarin Oriental Taipei. We had our engagement lunch party at the private room at Ya Ge restaurant and later after the engagement we stayed in our beautiful hotel suite room with an elegant and super loving hand written cards from the management and team ; heart shape chocolates and sweets from the team; the room is spacious , i always love a big bathroom with heated floor ; with the beautiful hotel deco this is the perfect colour for us, we are super pampered. I want to take this time to give a big thanks to the whole Mandarin Oriental Team, big thanks to Howard the Rooms Director that made sure all things ran smoothly that i had nothing to worry about just relax for my day. Many thanks to the Ya Ge team,. they have received numerous emails and information from me and made sure all is in perfect shape when all our family and guests arrived for the engagement, thank you Tina the key contact ; Rex that took care of us in the private room :) Good job Mandarin Oriental Taipei, thank you Karen , you got a great team. We will come back again. Cheers with love , Charlie Lin…
Listed as my most wanted to visit hotel in Taiwan, here I am since I’m currently station in Taiwan for work. There are multiple reasons I wanted to try MO TPE after knowing this property which had won multiple prestigious awards and the delicacies from the mandarin cake shop (from facebook). I book the staycation package and request for the Mandarin Premier Room which comes with a separate living room - all about space (good enough for a family of 3-4 without extra bed). Check-in was a breeze (however, asking for a minimal deposit rate which became a problem in the late evening wasn’t all nice since the hotel already have all my restaurant bookings which definitely more than what was requested as deposit which was weird as most hotel only charge total bill during check out - nonetheless, this was rectified however left a scar.) The room which was beautifully decorated in every corner comes without a view though. I’d say it’s definitely a big room for solo traveler like me, then again - i do like a big space to myself. Lovely bed, believe they are frette sheets which are well known for luxury hotels. As mentioned, I had my meals book at the restaurants in the hotel as part of my full MO Taipei experience. I had dim sum at the 1 Michelin star Chinese restaurant Ya Ge which doesn’t wow me - then again, I didn’t do my homework and check if they are specialise in Chinese cuisine or dim sum. I had a chat with Mario, the director of F&B and also understand the palette here could be cater more to Taiwanese tastebuds which is less salt. The Italian restaurant Bencotto on the other hand was amazing. Service was ever impeccable in all areas in MO, but the food — superb! I had two dinners here within two days and also got back when I was in Taipei again. (Lovely to know they remember my favourite spot at the restaurant). As for breakfast, I request it to be deliver to my room with a small reasonable fee (which I’d recommend). Was a pity the SPA wasn’t open during my stay (which I’ve heard it’s resume operation now). As for pastries from mandarin cake shop, perhaps i need to try more of the cake range as the Earl Grey one didn’t wow me at all. I also bought bread, tea cakes to go and they all taste delicious. Would I come back again? Definitely! Would really love to try their suite range and also the SPA. Just hope I wont be facing the deposit issue again (as I continue my journey on “best hotels in Taiwan”, I recently went to one of the best hotel in Sun Moon Lake (Kerry Hill design hotel) and I only have to settle the final bill during my check out which was 200%+ more than the deposit they requested). I had to really point this out to echo back what I’ve said previously that none of the hotels I’ve stay before ever had this issue. This supposed to be a 5/5 stay, but like I said - it does left a scar.. Mr.Sin, 26 August 2021.…
This was a truly amazing stay. Upon entering the hotel on my first day, I was greeted by kind staff and they lead me to a grand waiting room right to wait for check in, along with a little drink. Carrying the luggage and everything for me, I was delighted to find my room near the lift. As it was my birthday, they wished me a wonderful birthday and settled me down. After unpacking my luggage, I found the toilet isolated from my room, which was great. There were lots of drinks and food in the mini-refrigerators in my room, which I ate contentedly. There was a chair and sofa for me, a flat TV screen, a desk, a lamp, a closet - all sorts of fancy amenities. After an hour of TV with the amazing variety of channels, I got my dinner. There was a truly amazing variety of food there, delicious and made from-the-heart. The Ya-Ge restaurant was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. A good night sleep was what I needed after my long flight from England. there was a variety of pillows for me - neck-supporting, normal or soft. The blanket was soft and silky, and I got a good sleep. The staff there was also very helpful - helping me find the toilet, carrying the luggage, serving food, and the cleanliness was also of high standard, especially in this situation. From my hearts, I truly think this hotel as one of the best I have ever been to. Thankyou for all this, and I will be sure to comeback when the coronavirus is down a little. I highly recommend this to anyone staying in Taipei.…
Having been here for the third time during CNY. It is like meeting old friend again. The room decoration have a nice balance between classic and high tech. We particular like the toilet is separated far from bathroom. The walk in closet is rare in Asian hotels. The breakfast is another edge. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the food quality was impressive. I enjoy every morning while staying in the hotel.
Mandarin Taipei is now no longer open for booking. Not sure my review will be helpful to any tourist or make any difference. However, i still want to write this review only to express how much i enjoyed my stay back to April this year and it was such a lost that they are no longer taking any reservation. I tried MO in Singapore,KL,Bangkok these years and finally Taipei this year. After i made my reservation on line, 2 days before my stay, the hotel called to check whether any special event for my stay. It was my birthday, the staff didn't say much but helped me to make reservation at the restaurant ( perfect coordination i have to say). Upon check in, the staff immediately wish me happy birthday and told me to let them know if anything i need during my stay. Beautiful hotel, lobby, furnitures, art works, huge parking, amazing room (suite), comfortable bed, nice bathroom .... nothing to complain. i even love the smell in the lobby. Breakfast you can order from the menu then they prepare for you. Also you can have some food from the buffet table ( salad, fruit, bread....). All are delicious. We had dinner at the italian restaurant. Great service, food and wine. Totally enjoy the experience. I have started to miss Mandarin Taipei now!!!!! (their restaurants are still open, anyone who hasn't tried, must give it a try)…
This unexpected third stay in MO Taipei has totally changed my impression and I want to congratulate MO Taipei's efforts to make so much progress in terms of service!! From arrival to departure, everything in between was just impeccable. Everyone was super nice, friendly and helpful, quite the opposite from my last two experiences. Besides, food in Michelin one-starred Ya-Ge Chinese restaurant was just excellent -- it's a must-try during the stay. I want to extend my personal gratitude for Mr. Winston Chiou, Ms. Katya, Mr. Nitro Wong, Mr. Ennis Lin and their colleagues along with everyone in Un Deux Trois Cafe for taking very good care of me and my family during this 4-day stay! Can't wait to come back in May!!!
Great stay with MO , enjoy every moments! The spa quality is super, very comfortable and luxurious ! Love the drinks and snacks at Mo bar, Restaurants services are also very professional! It is a perfect stay for me ! Will definitely stay there again !
This has got to be my favourite hotel in Taipei. The service is just purely amazing. Definitely up to the Mandarin Oriental standards. Very good service and quality food at the restaurant. Breakfast quality is just 5 star. Definitely one of my favourite MO in the world!
Checked in on February 8, 2020. The rooms are bright and clean with everything you need. The bathing accessories that are from the French brand "Diptyque". Dinner in the Chinese restaurant that is good vibe because you can chat freely. The staff also give moderate suggestions when we ordering. Overall, we were rested well. Looking forward to the next trip in Taipei.
During our 3 day stay at Mandarin Oriental, we were treated to excellent service and thoughtfulness throughout our stay that we returned for another 3 days. We felt safe and welcomed, especially during a very nerve-wracking period from the threat of Covid-19. We felt that every facility was clean, inviting and quite luxurious. We were greeted by name daily by most of the staff. We loved the daily breakfast offerings (especially the pastries which I considered world-class). I still miss the pastries! We enjoyed our stay immensely and was able to celebrate key milestones so our stay will always be memorable to us. The grounds, facilities, room and amenities were top-notch and appreciated all the touches that made our stay quite comfortable and secure. Thank you to the staff for making our stay very special.…
